I completely understand the need for a price hike especially if you’ve held them steady for six years. It’s interesting that you hadn’t planned to until recently and even last year weren’t considering it. It’s very clear to anyone with eyes that things are changing rapidly for the worse.

I don’t think a few posters understood what our friend from Germany (I presume?) meant below. I don’t think he’s equating tariffs with Nazism but the massive rise in the police state with all the illegal ICE stuff going on. Very scary I never thought I’d see the day. Sad times for this country.

Clicked on the email hoping for news regarding Quar releases. Clicked on the article expecting something about a price hike. Politics (and the subsequent nutter in the comments ranting about nazis) was just a bonus, I guess?
Seems I can’t wipe my backside without political articles being printed on the Toilet paper these days. Guys, I just want to play some skirmish games with my kids. Sucks the cost of doing business is going up, but if we had an easy, painless fix, the problem really wasn’t that bad, was it? Can I just buy some plastic?

Good for you, Werner. I am much less likely to purchase from Wargames Atlantic now, especially as they permit people like you to insinuate that anyone who disagrees with political grandstanding from miniatures manufacturers or is OK with tariffs is a Nazi. And I have purchased a few thousand dollars of Wargames Atlantic products to sell at my store, both from W.A. directly and from various distributors, just since May. To say nothing of the money I have given them over the years buying sets for myself, or supporting them as an Atlantic Digital subscriber since the very first month, or promoting them on YouTube.

But what do I know? I could always just recommend that my working class middle American, Trump-voting customers not purchase anything from Wargames Atlantic.

I have no idea why a company that is supposed to have made their miniatures in the US for a while now is complaining about US tariffs, anyway.

I agree with JOHN. Keep you personal politics out of the hobby business. I enjoy my hobby for the lack of politics in it.
As for you Thomas of 2020-2024 what rock were living under during that time? You have a severe case of TDS. The only one lying is you to yourself. Werner Haas, and who were you directing your Nazi drivel at? the UK or the U.S.? Well here in the U.S. we are ready for your little miscreants to show their little heads. Remember, the U.S. Nazi party did the most amazing disappearing act the moment we declared war on the AXIS powers.

Time to take a stand. I could give you all the history lession on howall of the leftist political assertions are completely wrong but I doubt it would do any good. We all have customers on both sides of the political isle, WGA might have one less now. This depends on how you handle the attacks made on conservatives here.

Are Canadian orders now safe from our retaliatory tariffs with production up and running in the UK? Can anyone confirm? I don’t know if I just happened to get lucky but my last order came with a bonus $40 surcharge courtesy of our customs (that I was admittedly too lazy to inquire/fight CBSA about). Not laying blame on WGA, mind, but with that being nearly 50% of the order total, it left me a little sour and I’d much rather avoid a repeat, much as I would like to make another purchase before the increase.

“Dismantling of programs that were keeping inflation down”
Those programs drove inflation up. The government is not capable of bringing down. All attempts at economic intervention by a government, other than the removal or lowering of taxes, or removal of government spending, have only ever resulted in a net negative.

The people who think we had a great economy from 2020 to 2024 are delusional at best. We had the highest inflation we’ve had since 1917. People who think it was single digit inflation rates were lied to, the data is and has been heavily manipulated and cherry picked by every news outlet and official organization because if people knew it was really closer to 20%, they’d be rioting and hanging politicians from street lamps. Some products it was substantially higher even. Many of the cheaper wheat-based foods even before the Russo-Ukrainian War started either vanished to the realm of discontinuity, or nearly doubled in price. Trump is not blameless here either, as he pushed the first round of stimulus and C19 related spending bills at the end of his first term which caused the beginning of rampant inflation. The additional bailouts and stimulus after Trump, and most especially the “Inflation Reduction Act” made it significantly worse and the so called “Big Beautiful Bill” is still full of a lot of pork spending which is why people like Rand Paul opposed it in spite of the spending cuts it also promised.

The fact that anyone who has been alive for the past 40 or 50 years is still naive enough to believe that a government bill will not always do the precise opposite of it’s name is astonishing. The Stimulus spending and Inflation Reduction Act created double digit inflation by printing more money from thin air and massively increasing government debt spending. The Firearms Owner Protection act banned and restricted certain kinds of firearms. The Affordable Care Act destroyed the insurance industry overnight, leading to less competition in the market, higher prices, more expensive medical care and insurance, and by mandating that all government buildings maintain emergency supplies of certain medications, it is the primary reason certain medications like epipens are still today so outrageously priced (Demand massively outstripped production capacity.) Net Neutrality would have given the government significantly more control over the internet and made it subject to down right draconian telecommunications laws which have barely been looked at, much less re-written since the early 1900 and destroyed the entire industry, and of course everyone’s favorite of the past 24 years, the Patriot Act, which has on multiple occasions led to people who believe congress should follow the limits on their power laid out by the constitution being labeled as traitors and potential terrorists. Imagine that. Not wanting a government to have overwhelming power to spy on, interfere in your life and imprison you for anything it damn well feels like makes you a traitor. And I’m sure any Brits here might have an opinion or two about their latest internet censorship bill that came under the classic guise of “Think of the children!”, a cry which Americans have become increasingly apathetic toward since it’s always and excessively used as the excuse to try to oppress our rights and liberties, including the latest attempts at “age verification” laws which will just create massive databases of people’s personal data and browsing habits which we all know will just be sold to advertisers, accessible to the government, and subject to inevitable leaks because very few databases in the world are uncrackable.

If you still believe in the fairytale of government, you are lost and beyond help.
