My multi-race army is slowly shaping up :)
My multi-race army is slowly shaping up :)
Great concept, the blue really connects the unit.
Those are really cool! It's like Alien Legion comic.
@Hudson Adams thanks :)
At first I was looking for some minis to expand my slowly growing Tau army's auxiliary corps, but fell in love with some of WA's minis :)
Especially the Cannon Fodder kit, can't wait for the female variants to arrive :)
@Vitor Soares thanks :)
At first I wasn't sure about it, but now I really dig the whole "blue space spider" look :)
I'm converting some team leaders for my various auxiliary units, first up a gue'vesa with some 2nd tier tau gear.
I'm still trying to work out how to use the site, it has been ages since I last used a proper forum :)
Anyway here is some of the guys I painted today:
Some strom troopers and normal gue'vesa for the Greater Good
I love the inventive use of bits to create Gue'vesa. Nice conversions. I will be watching this thread.
One more squad ready to go (stuck home with the Covid, had a full 3 hours to paint)
3rd infantry squad ready:
And the 3 squad leaders:
This is a cool project and a great use of the spare Tau bits! Look forward to watching this progress!
Here is a little group photo of everything I've finished since '21 November, no waiting for bases, new boxes and motivation :) :
The first heavy weapons team is about to join the army along with the first commander (some basing and cleanup remaining)
So last year I made a switch to using almost exclusively Army Painter products, especially Speedpaints. This however made it a bit difficult to continue working on this project (and also I went heavily into SAGA and historicals for a good year), but now I'm slowly getting back on track. I found the new Speedpaint "Raging Sea" to be a pretty close match for my previous Citadel colours (at least for my eyes)
Here are some new minis getting ready to bolster my forces and play a game of Grimdark Future. Now I need to get some Cannon Fodder 2 :)
What a good idea! I trust you're fielding these as a Tau army with Guard allies for the lasgun troops?
Yeah, I mainly used them in Grimdark Future as Human Defence Force + TAO allies :)
This is great - you should add some N'Glonhgk!
