Still not a huge fan of the Valkyries. I think it's largely the helmets. It's a shame the plastics don't match the resin leader more... Who looks good:

Beautifully cast and detailed. On the other hand everything is going to have to be pinned. The hand with spear to arm join is microscopic. Fine for display..... extraordinary iffy for gaming use. (Want to try "Of gods and Mortals.")
@Mark Dewis I agree for the most part on the Valkyries. I think the base sculpt is fine and the wings are good. But as @JTam said, the helmets kill it. On the bright side, they have unhelmeted heads, and the Shieldmaiden heads (as well as the Arivises and the paladins) will fit them as well. Though the shieldmaiden heads with all the windswept hair was my least favorite part of the shieldmaidens.
These would definitely benefit from a 3d printer selling some good compatible valkyrie heads.
I am probably going to get one of the $10 sets of 8 valkyries just to try them, but I am really only interested in the Arivises.
I really did like the shieldmaidens. The only issues I had was A) the heads. not a fan of the windswept hair. and B) the weapon options. No spears, and the hand weapons did not really have a cohesive look to make units. I cant speak of the little crossbows they had as it didnt fit what i had in mind so never assembled any with crossbows.
I HATED the paladins though. They are the same height as the shieldmaidens but much bulkier and seem that much bigger. I didnt like that there were seperate hands to attach to arms, and I didnt like most of the weapons.

Ah, you are a gold level pledge.
I'm silver so I think I will be getting a free desert ogre and snake sorceress. Which honestly is pretty cool. This is primarily to make a Mordheim warband and the ogre and sorcerous will make nice hired guns/add flexibility.
@JTam yeah I am getting the garrison aravises army. I was planning on getting some goblins and valkyries too but will see how I feel when the pledge manager opens.
