@Mark Dewis Much like modern Cavalry, WW2 Cavalry generally dismount to attack or defend. And just like modern Cavalry, WW2 Cavalry tended to stay mounted during classic cava...
Somebody timed it well.... Or is seizing the opportunity....
Desire to build magnetized dual purpose Warhammer Fantasy Battle Empire / 40K Imperial Guard Regiment grows stronger.
@Alessio De Carolis The Sci Fi gun they have is a pretty decent stand in for Imperial Guard Ogryn standard issue Ripper gun as is. Vs. If someone ever wanted to do a Renaissanc...

They could pass for Imperial Guard's Ogryns, scratchbuilding heavy boots with GS, then giving them some BFG, such a modified Heavy Bolter or Plasma Gun.
@Pierre Lerdou-Udoy You aren't wrong, but don't forget the so called "Rule of Cool" in the movies, which give us a LOT of unrealistic duels, as in "Scaramouche", probabilly these heavy protected ge...

@Hudson Adams love the idea, honestly. It is a great way to make a kit that "goes further". Congratulations.
Most of these (i.e. Flintloque) are really just head swaps, though. The closer the setting steers to the historical look, the more this will be the case. Unless the elves are significantly shorter...
@Hudson Adams Indeed. And removing the slashings from the pants isn't a massive bit of conversion if that's the look you need. Either cut them off, putty them up, or a bit of both.
@Mark Dewis you can floppy hat and feather them up too if you want more of a landsnecht look or paint the clothing more muted to have them blend in as regular troops too.
Sweet. Good to see those parts in place. I wasn't sure if the Landsknecht bodies would look too out of place with the more modern parts, but they look pretty good.
@Nanashi Anon Defintely women. And there are some female heads on the Stargrave Trooper sprue, because a woman in heavy body armour only looks different if she has her helmet off. There's ...

@Jonathan Udbye you are speaking my language... you had me at rapiers
Ok. Hear me out here. Three musketers style elves. Rapiers, epees and matchlocks.
Matthew mentioned it on Facebook: sprayed the base with Vallejo "sand" color. Picked out a few highlights with an off-white/ivory paint. Wash with GW Gulliman Flesh Contrast. Added some GW Coelia G...

@H M yeah. Its pretty telling when the 2 highest results in the poll are "Wood Elves and High Elves". So basically the standard vision for elves is what people want. I mean, that is what would prob...

@JTam WWI's german cavalry such as these: from an old movie "Fraulein Doktor", they've a primitive anti gas protection gear
Kinda hard to decide as they all seem good. But personally, we don't see many Arabian style or WW2/ 1 styles. So those might make a good change.
I agree to this...
Please Matthew if you could spare the time could you do a "How I painted the Harvesters" post for us to get your brilliant Hues. Very sorry spelled your surname wrong.
@Chris Pryme Well, that is how the polls on here work, but one can list thier top 3 in the comments. That said I think I need to share this poll on the FB group, so far the most boring option (Hig...
