I now realize that the characters were not conversions. still very impressive paintjobs!
Your Paint Job really brings out the Metal Slug-Esque designs on those figures. The characters are very clever! I can already imagine the poorly-lit castle or occupied hamlet these guys are guarding!
@Mark Dewis Not going to lie these seem more like failed gene edits than Aliens.
@Mark Dewis Actually, RPGs are one of the reasons I suggested genric guns that work for both fantasy and SciFi (there are tons of what could be best described as "isekai pulp" RPGs being turned out...
@Hudson Adams Personally, I would be more intrested to see how those Victrix siocasts scale up to Rubicon and 1/56 ITALERI model sets than warlord's infantry (same deal with the early war Bri...
Two views of Olaf vs a WIP space dwarf with resized wire legs filled by putty. Growing the basic torso legs and adding 28mm arms does the job, this guy has a CF2 prosthetic arm with scaveng...
@Leigh J like this one? ;-)
Needs to have 2" mortar. And enough figures to build a full platoon.

Peter has updated his sketch to remove the bayonet and a couple other things. Now onto the pretty colors! https://wargamesatlantic.com/blogs/news/peter-dennis-bef-illustration-sketch-revision
Been working through my backlog and completed these, the Brits are coming soon
Winner! Work has started! Pre-production orders being taken now to hit our goal! https://wargamesatlantic.com/blogs/news/make-the-bef-a-reality-in-hard-plastic
@Mark Dewis assassain is the sort of vibe I was hoping for. My thought was close enough to be a variant of Wood Elves (just a different type of plant. Why should every elf live in a European F...
I was looking through the Digital Files available from Wargames Atlantic, and came across their Great War Russian 1910 Maxim Gun and Crew. I'm not sure how long it has been available. I rarely look...
Morris Dancers, hear me out :-)In England, particularly villages and small towns, Morirs sides are a common sight in summertime. They show up at village fetes and community festivals, they provide ...
@Brian Van De Walker Yeah I think rule of cool would work. Especially for Ooh Rah raptor calvary since the Utah Raptor exists and is around that size.
Some more pics. Enjoy!
Another pic
I see that you posted about my story in Wargames Illustrated and my large scratch build trench system glad you liked it and I appreciate the kind words. Here are a few more pics of it. ...
They need a machine gun. Oh, wait! You gave us that too!
Ooh Rah are credibly near future. I'm using them for ESWAT cops for superhero games. Arm swaps for modern weapons and honestly they're good for actual current police.
Everyone does Sengoku period; no one does the Genpei War, which is what we're talking about here. No guns, no Ashigaru per se. No katana, wakizashi or two swords being a thing. Just Tachi. Althoug...
Plastic has to have a market to be worth it. Lizardmen probably got guns because reptile aliens are a common thing in SF and almost mandatory in Victorian SF on Venus. Realistically, any plastic E...
@Tyler Patchin you can use the weapon arms from most of the 19thC, WW1 and WW2 sets, digital or plastic. One of the really nice things about digital is that any part is infinite. And able to be mi...
@Brian Van De Walker It's a bit like that. I was dubious about the waist arm body on the teaser, but once it was revealed that's for a four arm alien it all suddenly made sense! Great set.
@Brian Van De Walker well if they do I guess. They seemed somewhat confused with their Siocast release. I wonder if they'll start making a lot more stuff in Siocast or if that was just a leftover f...
Throwing in my comment to this as I'm in the UK too and somewhat of a "printer luddite"... I'm really struggling to find physical prints of both the Japanese Sengoku figures and many of the Great W...
What ho chaps... just got mine and I love 'em 😍 I'm just in the process of doing exactly what Ian Valentine has suggested above... will post a pic when he's undercoated 😊
@Iain Sloan or you could kitbash the plastic WW1 French officer into a post 1917 officer - the sam browne belt and boots mean he could pass for a British officer if you squint, and they stopped wea...
@Iain Sloan you could for now take advantage of Northstar's A War Transformed offer and buy B or C from this for a pre-1917 officer uniform look: https://www.northstarfigures.com/prod.php?prod=17570
@Duke Exeter Not to mention Victrix making some more.
@Charles Tottington Kinda of meh on the armored space wood elves (even if they are riding dinos). Personally I feel that death field elves should either be gene edited Hollywood style late 18th cen...
@Charles Tottington Yeah, and honestly I have even seen helmets like some of those in the Ooh-Rah and I guess stargrave sets from "bit box lots" I got off ebay awhile ago and net pic, the onl...
@Iain Sloan I disagree, we dont need any more late war Brits. There are plenty of options in plastic and metal for 1944 brits already. Lets have this kit focus exclusively on the BEF and Home Guard...
I've found that the arm sets don't always give you the best alignment. For the box I built recently I grabbed whatever seemed to fit the best.
@Charles Tottington Exodites was my first thought, but I didn't want to make it too obvious ;)
The idea of death fields wood/jungle elves gives me Exodite vibes. Which given the Exodites are dino riding space elves.... and WGA is currently working on a raptor calvary that is usable for both...
Yeah the only thing I can tell that's different about them are the helmets. Which is something thar can be easily religated to a digital upgrade set and used for whatever models you want. Cadian, R...
Is there any chance That WA will make a "British officer" figure for this range as I dont remember seeing photos of many officers wearing "Ordanry soliders uniforms" in this period. &nbs...
Love these however, I have a few sugestions that would make these sutiable for the entire war periond, Do the heads, wepons and webing equipment on a different sprue. so you coul...
@Estoc If he has as many project on the grill as Hudson does, not that odd😆. Whats odd is not saying "Have you looked at the Raumjager?" since these guys look alot like them:
