@Alessio De Carolis I've read all the Sharpe novels. And if they took a left turn into fighting Goblins I'd be ok with it ;) I think the Eureka Grenzer are "true" 28mm. They're ...

@Selrahc @Geoff Maybury @Vitor Soares Thank You! Much appreciated.
One could also post your suggestions for additional Italian parts here: https://wargamesatlantic.com/community/xenforum/atlantic-digital An Italian Infantry add on kit with prone body, kneeling b...
@Marc Nelson Jr. Jeff on the excellent Commando Supremo site does an incredible job of sharing knowledge on the method the loader used to carry the additional ammo in clips for the Breda 30 ...
Interesting conversions, now you could try to send against them Sharpe and his loyal riflemen! Jokes apart these conversions are perfect for a race of sneaky scavengers that plague the aftermath of...
@JTam Right a prone body would be useful either for the MG42s and the Panzerschreck, naturally with gloved arms added for the latter.
The new edition is arriving on pre-order tomorrow: https://warlord-community.warlordgames.com/incoming-new-edition-hail-caesar/ The book looks good, the Starter Set less so, being pretty much the...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breda_30 Normally it used ammo clips, no a magazine as the Bren (very superior) or the BAR, so probabilly you could use normal infantrymen to support it, perhaps addi...
Another good idea could be a set of alternate helmets for sci-fi grunts, either enclosed or open, to add variety to your figs
How about Wars of the Diadochoi? 2x Greco-Macedonian Armies with each: 8x Greco-Macedonian Phlangitai Infantry4x Greco-Macedonian Late Peltast / Thureohporoi Infantry4x Thracian Infantry8x Greco-...
Has anyone built a loader for the Breda 30 from the Italian Infantry box? I don't see an ammo box or clips for the Breda 30, and I can't figure out how to distinguish the loader from the other rifl...
I wish I could figure out why I find the Quar so compelling. They seem oddly familiar and yet exotically new at the same time.
@Joshua Qualtieri I have seen a number of folks using resin printers still setting print lines... but yes FDM is much worse. Sometimes I can work around the look of print lines, especially in ...
They look amazing, very well done excellent conversions
@Grumpy Gnome Could be Clangers. We didn't get them on TV, but I do recall a book.
@JTam They were even available before that on .. etsy my good friend 🧐
Which leads to the possible box set "Dacia." The Dacians have an interesting and distinctive look with a signature weapon. Warlord already did a really nice campaign book on the war(a). ...
I voted for Bronze Age "Greek" Elves because I Love me some Warhammer Fantasy Battle High Elves.
I use liquid resin printers not FDM printers. The ones that use plastic spools are glorified glue-guns.
@Grumpy Gnome This is my major 3D print worry GG, I`ve a real wish for a M38A1 jeep 1/56th, but although made by a large company its all lines. A lot of smaller printers no matter the setting...
Any one familiar with this series of books? I'm currently on a Dacian kick.
For example, in the eyes of a connoisseur of the Roman army, the Aquilifer on the photo in black and white is out of the game... Why ? His function (bearing the sacred ensign of the Legion) assimi...
@Pierre Lerdou-Udoy Good read: https://www.warlordgames.com/hobby-making-caesarean-romans/ Thank You.
@Lord Marcus That is right up my alley. Ordered. Thank You.
Hé, hé... the great and wise Man has spoken. You are right, Geoff : "Que chacun fasse comme il lui plaît" (let each do as he wishes)... I'm not sure if "being a little cracker"...
Reference a box set: How about "Masada!" Good name recognition. Defies expectations a little. Still has that sweet, sweet, Imperial Roman flavor players crave. X Legi...
Honestly, it's better to avoid trying "to go faster than the music", as we say in French. The Roman army before the reforms of Marius (c. 107 BCE) is not the same as the armies of the civil wars (...
@Joshua Qualtieri Ah, OK. I have found dead links to that old forum but thought maybe there was a new forum I had not uncovered in my research. I try to avoid Facebook these days despite being...
This is a great set and a even greater concept. Excited to see what other conversion and add-on sets for existing plastic sets you come out with. (Like a Panzer Lehr plus up set with ...
@JTam for which army or period. "ancients" covers everything from late rome/late antiquity backward. General book reccomendations? Legionary by Pilip Matyszak is an enjoyable read with good early ...
@Grumpy Gnome I think he means the facebook group. I had a forum years and years ago but all the interaction moved to facebook. Ug.
@Geoff Maybury Forum? Where is this forum you speak of old boy?
@Joshua Qualtieri Wales can have that affect on folks. Be sure to wear a leek in your cap. 😉
@Grumpy Gnome I have always wanted the Quar setting to feel like the Wind in the Willows meets WW1. The English and Irish countryside has always been my model. Then I spent a couple of weeks in Wal...
Those are 28mm! Already available for sale in 15mm. I've added some detail here and there since then.
Here's an example of a group of parts designed to work with an existing plastic set - in this case a modernization set for our Afghan Warriors. You'll see lots of things like this that will give yo...

Seems like an excellent use of the platform. I am tempted to hold off assembling some death field bodies to save them for aliens. More likely to pick up the space dwarves to make into aliens too; s...
There we go six shot of Quar vehicles what ever the scale they look great.
These i think are the 15mm I might be wrong but the reading reads 28mm so I suspect some one more qualified than me will comferm. It is stated that the 28mm will probabley be printed not Mdf,...
For those of you who wish to see the forth comming delights of the Quar Tractors I joined their face book site and present you with these.
Very nice to have you come over and join us, and to keep us in the loop with your wonderful Quar.
I would say a one of this for Epic HC: Punic War Set with Republican Romans and Carthaginians: 9x Infantry (3x Hastati, 3x Principes, 3x Triarri)3x Leves Skimisher2x Equites Cavalry 6x Libo-Phoe...

My own adventures in this space have just been using 1/35 tank kits as the basis for 40K Ork vehicles. That's an area where you really can't go much wrong and the nominal scale REALLY does not matter.
@William Redford I'm a little disapointed at the lack of trinoculars. Very speciesist 😂
