The Amazon bodies are nice. I am not thrilled with the heads or weapons. But... they look nice with statuesque heads and Fireforge weapons...
@Mark Dewis Not to be taken as an insult, as these guys are larger than life, but i think they are smaller in stature on average, as in Rubicons Marine and Vietcong. So althought their are some ver...
My good fellows, To Don Williams : The conversion is very pleasant and pretty well done. Moreover, bare feet are not a real problem for ancient civilizations, by good weather, on a soft or slipper...
Solid idea. And a REALLY easy painting stage 😁 Frostgrave temple dog minis aside, you may find some small enough but cheaper online from Chinese charm jewellery makers, or craft shops, or New Age ...
@William Redford And you just added another level to the Pile of Shame... the Basement. Next step is ordering some Billy shelves from Ikea... and assembling them 😅 Oh my... FG & SG stuf...
I play Oathmark a lot and it sounds like a great idea and also a good army list .
@Grumpy Gnome granted, I am no expert, and you could shoot it either way. But here, it is in the Physical Education curriculum, and they always teach it with the arrow on the inside Either w...
@Steven StGeorges I had the Dwarves and those were an excellent design. (Mine went towards a Mordheim gang). Still have a few of the heads and weapons. I had the Orcs too, and those were NOT suc...
I think whether done as historical or Death Fields, Ghurkas are best done as an expansion sprue since they really just need heads and Kukri to distinguish them from British troops, as the above pic...
@Steven StGeorges ... um... the basement. But not sure in what context yet. I am not sure what I will be using these for. I am contemplating a fantasy army using firforge bits and Scythians. But I ...
@William Redford Thanks for the DD link... and .. mmm... where are you going to store all those 600+ new minis by the way? 😅
@Steven StGeorges HA! yeah... just got to make sure my wife doesnt find out... Anyway, I assembled some. Link to a post where I posted some pics on Dakka Its easier to post multiple pics on Dakka,...
@JTam Most of Jon's observations are quite relevant and I think he's talking about some reenactment at the Fort during commemoration of Battle of Verdun. As I said above a lot o...
@William Redford "600+ minis... don't know what I was thinking." You do deserve the title of Miniature Stakhanovite of the year regarding your past doings and upcoming ones 😁 Now com...
My goodies arrived. 14 boxes. 7 amazons, 6 Scythians and 1 Satyr. Won't get a chance to really dive in until this weekend but will assemble a couple after work. 600+ minis... don't know what I was ...
@Mark Dewis For sure, Plastic tooling was super expensive but look at the very first hard plastic minis GW ever designed: Psychostyrene Dwarves and Drastik Plastik Orcs, then 1987 WFB regime...

@JTam Very nice job they`ve made there.
@JTam Very nice those would sell. Nice to paint great to see.
@Mark Dewis Sorry Mark me to I`m afraid. Love the top shots, god I never brought the "Bulldogs" I`d so looked forward to them, untill that "Heroic scale". Your conversions make them worthy of...
For over 200 years a group of very special people have fought along side the army of Britain and given this country a life time of service, "The Gurkhas". The first time was a very honorable ...
I had the same project in mind to use in One Page Rules' Age of Fantasy (probably making a custom list with their army builder) Wyrd makes a few minis that would work well with a terracotta army ch...
Any updates when the squads are being shipped out, in particular to Australia? I need them to fight off some crazy creatures terrorising the land downunder.
@Vitor Soares The “arrow on which side discussion” crops up quite a lot. It sounds to me like there is no single definitive answer. https://www.quora.com/What-side-of-a-bow-does-a...
I wonder if a potential Light Infantry kit could be an army builder. With just options for spears and crossbows. With perhaps some Halberd heads on the sprues as well.
Ever seening the Warring States figurs announched, I thought about a Terracotta army (I assume I am not the only one). I really like Michael Sng's work so far and loved the videos his thinking proc...
Honestly, bare feet to simple shoes just needs a file to remove the big toe and toe details. I'd not worry about putty for that job, as you may end up making the feet too big.
Ironically, I'd cite the early plastic efforts as being partially responsible for GW making goatmen standard. In particular this: I say ironic, because plastic is perfect for multipart, mix and ...
Well... ups failed to deliver. Tracking still says delivery today, but as it's 8 pm it doesn't look good.
@Blutze Orcs were not immune to Chaos touch and some of the most "infected" were able to join Chaos Warband... Chaos Orcs were only quite a must-have to any casual Orcs & Gobelins army b...
@Geoff Maybury it was a happy accident that it worked out like that. I just made it up in a catching pose and it turned out to be just right that I could seat the ball there. These are from the te...
Okay. So when I do this at work, where I'm not logged in to any of my Google profiles, the upload to the forum takes care of it?
Of course, if you look back at the oldest Citadel Chaos Beatmen, they were all sorts of creatures. The Konrad series of novels even mentioned orcs as members of a chaos army. Really fun to see h...
May be worth noting that (civilian) Thompsons were a feature of the Irish wars; in the last few months of the war of independence, and then in the following civil war. Both French Partisan k...
@Mark Dewis Ugh. I need to work out what causes this. Maybe ones I upload at home vs work? Or phone vs PC? Pretty sure I told you before. The files on your google drive are not shared p...
@Caratacus well, there you go. I have learned a thing. I did notice the horse tails in the kit as well - nice to see they ARE being myth-accurate. I expect customers are meant to add their own pha...
@Don Williams first of all, congratulations on your work. It looks really great. May I make a sugestion? I don't know if it is possible, with the arms in the conversion, but the arrows should be o...
Here is another look.
@Caratacus The arm joins on the the RGD Satyrs are weird. It's like a quarter of the arm is on the body. It will complicate using GW arms certainly.
These sprues seems interesting, pity that the cavalry sprue has either male and women's legs, the satyrs could pass for beastmen or ,with some kitbashing, chaos-warped cultists. One thing is that i...
@Mark Dewis yeah... I... am refraining from saying anything negative until I have them in hand. I kind of went big on this as I like the company and had high hopes based on wargames Atlantic d...
@Mark DewisReally nice Mark love the one carrying the ball.
@Mark Dewis yeah I see them now too. And they are pretty cool.
@Estoc @Alessio De Carolis For my first ever experiments with greenstuff I plan to make shoes for those models in the Gripping Beast Dark Age Welsh box who have none, will post some pics if I meet...
@JTam As soon as I saw that sneak peek post I knew that whoever had created this thread (you it turns out 😉) would be pleased that WGA had heard you. Hope it turns out to have all the 'Allo 'Allo y...
I've been wondering when these would finally arrive. The Satyrs definitely look the best set, I'm considering them as a possible way to grab a load of extra bodies to build up a good-sized Beastman...
