Write up from the JAN 2023 Issue of Wargames Illustrated:
Far more excited for this: Than this: The top creatures look great. They remind me / are somewhat how I pictured the Trolls from the Bazil Broketail series.
I think they are something different from already previewed Trolls (which seemed pretty popular with a number of folks precisely because their aesthetic fit in with current lines of Middle Ea...
@Steffen Seitter An interesting proposition, but I thought scale armour didn't appear in the Roman army until the Late Imperial Era. Feel free to prove me wrong with any sources you may have, howev...
@Mark Dewis To be honest I really hope the preview shown by @Nanashi Anon is a replacement to the one you've shown. Wargames Atlantic really need to be more creative in their Fantasy kits and the o...
@Berggeit The "Zindians" could be justified by some voodoo enchantment made by some (justified) angry fugitive slaves to get revenge on their ex-masters, either french and british, to wreack havoc ...
@JTam Bit late. Northstar Miniatures created all of the Stargrave, Forstgrave and Oarthmark plastics and metal miniatures (Rendra produces the frames, but Northstar creates figures and I think they...
Going from strength to strength. Another great post. Thanks!
Warlord Games is doing a "Bad Santa"/"Big Bundle" sale. This is dang tempting: Plus they are giving away a really good mini when you spend $75.00 or more.
The shoulder pads do look a bit less streamlined than I would have expected but the body armor looks right to me.
I think the caps are appropriate for a "security guard". I was also thinking that with more military style colors they could work as Stargate Troops, the guns are very simmilar. The shoulder pads ...
@H M Perhaps call it 28mm and make the miniature 32mm in height. If we know anything about the Hybrorian age it's that it's heros are mighty of stature and sinew.
I don't think it's the torsos as much as the shoulders. Pads aside, the arms don't look natural. I'd shave off some of the material around the arm/torso join.
The small guys are basically dog-sized. I don't think a 50mm base would matter too much. Use the extra real estate for webs and victims. I mean *I* put the two I ended up with from a preord...
@Francisco Alonzo Thanks, glad it's not just me then.
Forum username - Vanth SpiritWalker Title of entry - Lieutenant 213th Coastal Division, Sicily 1943 Description of entry: A simple figure really, last painted in 2022 and the first for the ...
Nice, but perhaps the torsos are a little too big, I think that those minis woul be better with closed helmets, so could pass for some hard sci-fi troopers, as seen in Altered Carbon. I think that ...
@Mark Dewis thank you! Had hoped the large ones would fit a 50mm base, which I use for my large monsters. I am suprised the smaller ones will fit a 25mm base, I thought they would be larger.
Small spiders will fit on a normal 25mm base, the big guys need about a 40mm one.
You're welcome! My primary interest for Minis is in Hyborianesque settings, so I try to have my eye out for such things. On a side note, to fill up a sprue and make such a thing maybe have more m...
I am planning to get the spiders sometimes soon and was wondering about what size of bases I should use for giant and the small spiders. Does anyone know?
Some incredible art coming from this RPG: https://www.acheron.it/apocalisse/#
@Bill Thomas Awesome! Did you take that picture? Where?
@H M Good heads up. Surely I can justify this mini to use in a Araby based Mordheim campaign.
I've been unable to post on the forum for a week or so (get an error message: "You do not have permissions to make new posts") The issue may be resolved or this might be my one and only post that ...
@Anthony Miles I would suggest to start with the unsupported horse, rotate it 30 to 45 degrees to the side and use auto supports. Or wait for the corrected files, with better supporting. The file a...
Urte berri on ! Happy new year ! With a special thought for you, Geoff and Eileen, who are our "mascots" here : I wish you light, bread, water... and above all, Love ! In good health, if possible....

Feliz Ano Novo, and a great year for all.
Painted up my first figures from the digital range. Nothing too fancy, just a basic speed paint.
I guess if you count the gangster towards World Ablaze they just scraped in. But that's cool. It would be churlish to criticise missing an ambitious target when they've supplied SO much content. I...
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year's Eve and a 2023 that is better than 2022!

I Know that technically it should be tomorrow but as with X-mas this is still the head less chicken time. Not a drop of alcohol as touched my lips yet not even a rum and black with the X-mas mince ...
Not to mention the Peasants that were previewed at the end of November
*Bump* Still waiting for the First Empires and World Ablaze sets. Not much December left...
You are not. 😊

They say it's just limited time remaining on the liscense on thier website. If it's true, and they don't/can't renew... well, I'm sure I can't be the only person to want a multi part, multi option ...
@Miyuso No, as long as you are entering a wargames atlantic miniature. In humor: No Lich, mummies, vampires or other undead may apply. @Red Bee go for it! just list parts used in your entry descri...
Hopefully these are just the beginning. It would be brilliant to see the 28mm line of Quar expand to the level of the 15mm metal sculpts. Hope dies last!
@Alessio De Carolis Yeah, that was my original title but it seemed to obvious and misleading. There are currently some that question the Aztec's definition of Flower Wars and think it may have been...
@Nickolas Diaz I consider it a large skirmish game so about 6-8 units perside and around 30-50 models. In the initial book there are 5 armies (Aztec, Purepecha, Huastec, Tlaxcalla, and Spanish) but...
