I really hope those Punic War Miniatures are for a HC Epic Battles release..
I thought my browser was skipping at first! Also I'll put my Grognards against your Eihenjar any day. We'll see who surrenders!
@William Redford Yes, not very Landsknecht-y, but that's a bad a*s mini: Might work in a Kislivite Army/Mordheim gang though.
@Mark Dewis I have some of the ogor gluttons as well as some mournfangs in a traditional GW ogor army. I also bought some mournfangs I plan on converting to have WA Ogres on... I actually really li...
Let's not totally overlook GW. This chap comes standard with the Blood Bowl box set and a few might be going around cheap (as a seperate purchase h'es very overpriced, though): The Ogre team spr...
@Steven StGeorges I did some of this. Chose bionic parts so that you can see they are SPACE pirates and not the regular sort. Frostgrave Barbarian bodies do not look out of place either. @Wi...
Okay. I assumed they were the same scale - never collected either. Thanks for the correction on Epic.
The Ultraviolet Berets got basing, final touch ups and unit patch on the weekend. It's a little hard to see, but the patch is a black circle with a purple rim and lightning bolt.
@Geoff Maybury Treasure your hard copy:
@Geoff Maybury That looks like great read. Thank You for the recommendation. I read some books about U.S. armor in Vietnam, but not Australian. Then M48 was a beast on the battl...
@Steffen Seitter What I like about the 10mm Warmaster minis is that your 15mm terrain largely still works. That's just a bigger building instead of a complete hovel.
Not upsetting people is probably now the most hardest thing to do in our lives, I hope you all know me well enough to know that l like and respect most folk, lifes too short to fight or...
@Steven StGeorges The only thing lacking is pirate black powder weapons.
The weather that we "British seem so preocupied with at the moment, is dark, wet, and bloody depressing. Added to which I`ve a hole in my gum the diamiter of my little finger were a tooth as ...
@Benjamin Hayward Just mix some minis from Frostgrave Pirate Crew box with ... Frostgrave Cultists and Stargrave Crew or Mercenary boxes and voilà
Right; Epic was 6mm and WM 10mm.
Didn't have time to really look for the pics. But this one was the easiest to see on my search. It's kind of boob plate. Just a little more subtle.
@Mark Dewis I thought the Epic 40k minis were 6mm and Warmaster minis 10mm?
@JTam the bodies too. On the thread on Dakka, there are 2 sprues. One male. One female. The female sprue has 3 bodies with a more obvious female upper half. I don't think they have "boob plate...
@William Redford @Geoff Maybury That Cabbage Patch/Garbage Pail thing was mostly in reference to the heads: But I also meant their armor looks like the Garbage Pail Kids version of Worl...
@Geoff Maybury yeah, I figured the dolls. Especially since@JTam also mentioned Garbage Pail kids. Just thought that was funny in a harsh way. I really don't like most of mantic's figures...
@William Redford It could be a reference to the way "Cabbage Patch dolls were made and sold or the fact rabbits raid the cabbages that much "they are all over the place" a saying we "Brits " are fo...
@JTam true enough, but since they have the option of black powder guns... they at least would look to be part of the same time setting. Cabbage patch? :)
@Steffen Seitter Now that's interesting - Warlord currently sell Agema's Republican Roman and Carthaginian Veteran box sets, but it would be great if they made some of their own plastics for variet...
@Mark Dewis Nope, with so many ancient civilisations out there still lacking plastic box sets, there's no such thing as enough love for Ancients.
I heared now from multiple sources that WLG are strongly hinted Republican Romans and Carthaginians on their last Open Day - I hope for Epic Battles.
mantic ogres are more classic fantasy barbarians. Asymetrical scraps of metal plate over leather harnesses, exposed arms to show off muscles, etc.
@Geoff Maybury That's a neat scenario and a great concept. I did get your PM. And found the Dungeons and Doggos miniatures. Really neat, and really cute. Thank You!
@William Redford I don't think the Mantic Ogres really match the Landsknecht vibe either though. More of a Cabbage Patch / Garbage Pail Kids vibe really.
@JTam I have seen a couple wizkids female ogres. And Atlantis miniatures has some females but none really match the landsknect vibe.
And if female Ogres really are your fetish.... The old metal Games Workshop has to be floating around on Ebay from time to time. EDIT: I remember the combat rolling pin, but I also remembe...
Mostly all discussed here: https://wargamesatlantic.com/community/xenforum/topic/78413/landsknecht-ogres But I'm tracking these: Shield Wolf:

Some parts of the Perry Ansar Warrior kit could be used for Judeans. In particular there's a bearded skullcap head and simple tunic bodies with bare feet. Add a belt, sandals and the Tzitzits and t...
I'll likely get a sprue of Conquistadores for experiments soon.
@Red Bee GW's old warmaster and Epic lines were a nominal 10mm, which may fit with 6mm depending on manufacturer. At the very least, Warmaster humans might proxy as 6mm Ogres and so forth, bu...
