If you were a reptilian overlord, were you sell other reptilian overlords? Of course not. You would sell humans. Selling your own kind is barbaric.

@Geoff Maybury basicaally gene enhanced gang members.
@Steven StGeorges This old fossile is lost son, Goliaths ? I`ve never been a GW fan or brought there products. Not since they first opened. and sold Traveler, and D and D, Aftermath, etc. Then they ...
@Erebos Hammerhand agree 100%
@Bill Thomas I take the Rubicon measurements of some vehicles with me to judge sizes, and a WF german figure with no arms to get Height. Johny Lightning1/64th are mostly great. and their WW2 jeep i...
@William Redford In my opinion, Wargames Atlantic should do an alternative female Set for each of their Death Fields sets, or at least put a sprue of female heads in them.
@Grumpy Gnome I been suggesting that on the Facebook group since I saw the sprue teaser, due to the expected size difference and massive muscled arms. They could also of course be heavy gravity wo...
@Caratacus I agree... But still want some not sisters of battle... at lease some sisters that I can actually afford. :)
Looks like we'll have to Kitbash some Space name with WGA Lizardmen to get a proper kit
To be honest I'd rather that Reptilian Overlords lived up to their name and made all sorts of different reptilians (crocodilians, snakemen with serpent bodies rather than North Star's bipedal ones,...
Starts today at 11am eastern time/ 5 pm Rome time.
@H M I would buy some Atlanteans. Say what you want about Palladium Books... but I really did like Rift's depiction of True Atlanteans. The Reptilian overlords... what would make the...
A faerie court would be cool. with enough sprues you could make an army of just faeries. 1cm... I kind of want them a bit bigger for painting/converting so if they were half the size of WA haflings...
Animal Companions (Owl, Hawk, other birds, Frog, Turtle, Cat, Mini dragon, Duck (with Knife option), peackok, small spiders, butterfly, other insects, snake, neck slot snake, some other small fanta...
@Mark Dewis You mean like a fantasy cultist spell caster kit?
I think thier models are great, and am excited that WGA is working with them. However, the fact that WarGames Atlatnic offers no Wargames Atlanteans, and Reptillian Overlords offer no Rept...
@Geoff Maybury haha! Yes, I am also exploring "alternative timelines" with this... "Cowboys v Aliens" springs immediately to mind (cmon, who doesn't want to see an alien overlord blown up with some...
@Bill Thomas @Bill Thomas So pleased with them bill, as you say they are 100% the building rules for a Si/FI resistance game, and with twicking. I`d say something like SS /GB, could be adapted and ...
@Geoff Maybury sorry mate, I'm not always able to get on due to workload, but I saw you have the rules now and see the potential like I do... I hope you enjoy them as much as I am 😍
@Geoff Maybury oh, and BTW, if you use facebook there's a fabulous group there for the games, and Patrick's Blog is here https://stalker7.com/ :)
@Geoff Maybury glad you like the rules so far! I'm just finishing up my "Alien Invaders" (very "used tech" based) and then I'll post some pics :) There's so much scope here to create your own stori...
@Viking Cowboy Yes, I was thinking primarily about compatability with Death Fields and Stargrave, and I expect I'd probably make use of a hypothetical fantasy kit for sci-fi as well, but a specific...
I'd also like a robot kit. I'm a big fan of Anvil Industry's Automata, but they're currently resin-only and a bit pricey because of that. It'd be great if WA partnered with Anvil (like they have wi...
@Steven StGeorges @Hudson Adams Actually there was post on the FB group back in I think 2020 or 2021 with RO heads on either the Ruamjagers or Grogs so we already know their heads should be compat...
There are also various things like Back of Beyond style interwar pulp setting games. Dieselpunk. 40k kitbashing. Lots more possibilities than just trenches.
My logic was that most WW1 games would be trench warfare, with small groups of soldiers, and thus falling into the skirmish/man on man game size. But I guess some people would play larger games wit...
@William Redford Oh my... that's my point, but maybe some models could be converted into Space Gnolls (if Northstar bits can be used to do so) or .. some kind of Mutants (like our Humble Gnomish F...
IF we dabble in fantasy again. its the goats for Eileen and me, as she says they have 100% the cute factor,so "BUT OUT", we just may get some!!!!!!!.
@Steven StGeorges @William Redford Yes thats the only fly in the ointment if only scale didn`t jump about. Shadowrun and Cyberpunk 2020, as vats and heavy cyber, but as no Troll and Orc modern head...
@Julian Wensleydale What would you suggest for a sci-fi sprue, I guess it'd be compatible with the Death Fields Range rather than the Iron Core one?
@Steven StGeorges I think @Geoff Maybury is just concerned with the scale. I actually like them more if they are in the big side, but understand that the vast majority will probably ...
@Geoff Maybury They could be used as ... another DF team for instance. Wait and see my friend
Not at all familiar with GW sizes, we had a few GW early "Cat"`s, but only to use the clubs gaming table. I really like GG`s idea those could work fine. Thats a result for me if they are over size.
I`ll pass on, making direct comments, other than a, they look nice, untill a good scale comparision comes along, if they match the Hu -Rahs, maybe, other wise "NO" . Muscles are no good, if they`re...
Yeah, I'd buy one, both a fantasy and scifi version would be good.
I wasn't really familiar with RO previously but having now had a look at their range, I would be interested in their feudal guard models for an inquisition-themed army. Spacenam seems okay too, tho...
@William Redford I would love Death Fields Robots that could also be a fantasy kit for humanoid constructs/warforged. Always loved warforged and the minis on the market are so inadequate
I would tend to agree that mortars and heavy machine guns would be much more prevalent (and therefore sell more) and that large artillery is best used via off board game mechanics but there may be ...
I think I might use them as Fallout style Super Mutants with a little bit of conversion work.
As a further point... the allies had little to no need to develop anti tank guns in WW1, and so effectively didn't. The Germans only built 20 rather crap tanks, alongside some use of captured Allie...
Warlord designed their ECW kits to do double duty as 30YW, which is why there's a few head sprues.
I did some science and I reckon they're 28mm to the eyes, 32mm total, on 32mm bases.
Would LOVE a robot kit. Saleswise it may be a good idea to offer kit options to cover the Necron/Terminator look, though. Make the default guns a bit Necronish, have a skull head option. Kee...
Space kitties are all over the genre. You have Larry Niven's Kzin (which crept into Trek), Traveller's Aslan, C.J. Cherryh's Hani and plenty of others. An easy seller, I'd have thought. Three poin...
@Mark Dewis Hmm bugbear heads, lizard head... that would match the muscled frames. You have me intrigued sir!
Likely to match with current 40K standard, I'd think. I'm considering head swapping in to make big guy aliens. The hyper-Rambo look leaves me pretty flat, but stick on a Gnoll head or a Reptile ma...
@Mark Dewis I agree but... :) there are some scale variances in GW between 40K but also next to necromunda. While I am sure they will look fine either way, I am basically wondering if these will be...
I expect most of the liability here is with Reptilian Overlords. WGA are probably operating in Renedra mode - just manufacturing other people's projects. WGA will stock it and sell it, but any mark...
