@Grumpy Gnome Don`t no if they fit for sure here, but here`s my 2 peney`s worth,. By the way Fostgrave Snake men , Stargrave female , no idea on the animals nothing on sprue.
@Benjamin Hayward @Grumpy Gnome @Geoff Maybury @William Redford ,Hells bell just had flash back to Aifix Saturn 5 kit. Mine eventually went the way of the cat, smart animal, or mom got tyred ...
My friend, you have my attention. I am also a fan of alternative history, my own personal alternative history project involves a 20th Century world is the result of an alternative scenario that st...
Great to see that WGA are putting value into their Monstrous Infantry boxes - 12 per box is excellent compared to GW and Mantic. If these rumours are true then they'll have a hit on their hands. N...
@Brian Van De Walker I am certain in the case of the Celt, Imperial Roman and Caesarian Roman sprues - if you look at them they have 'copyright Warlord Games' and the year they were first de...
@Blutze halp indeed! I too hate integral bases. I've gone for the recessed base solution, though resin rather than WA's options as I prefer the Citadel-style tapered edges.
I've been looking for some 17th Lancers waterslide decals for 28mm and can't find anything, anyone know where I might be able to find some? I'm happy to just go the custom route, but I'm actually k...
@Grumpy Gnome Or Alien Nation with the late James Caan as Sykes... and its Tenctonese refugees. Det. Samuel 'George' Francisco: And that fits?Det. Sgt. Matthew Sykes: Well... Yeah, it...
@Blutze Only what what was said in the initial news announcement (Full reveal pasted in the 2nd message in this thread). "So these fellows will come in around 45mm or so. This will be a full frame...
You're assuming it'll be 12 minis per box. Has that been announced anywhere, and do we know if the price per box will be the usual WGA 33-35 monies? We're looking at TTCombat's six trolls for 25 mo...
Too small, flimsy and limited options IDK, flimsy to me implies that they don't hold up to use and play, constantly breaking. I can see that on the centaur-specific twohanded weapon system, but ...
@William Ings even if it was free, thst would be a bone of contention at my house.
@Steven StGeorges hahaha, literally what I was doing over my coffee this morning. It's funny I don't think I've actually bought any GW models for over a decade, but I buy plenty of bits, Mecha...
Something like District Nine “Prawns” would be cool.... “Don’t point your tentacle at me, man!”
@Geoff Maybury obviously it takes your spouses side of the bed, after she leaves you for maxing out your credit.
I agree with those calling for felinids. An Arabian / Egyptian theme for fantasy, why not stick with whats gone before (Alchemy and others). I would dearly love to expand my catfolk arm...
@Steven StGeorges Thanks!Although I have never seen the old beastmen "auxiliaries" in person, I have seen many pictures of models of "ancient times" and even some rules for them. My gors have ...
@Benjamin Hayward Amazing , briiiant, every thing you want, "Then sadly sanity slowly returns "BL++DY HELL " were do I put it?😭 , even if I could afford it!!!!!!😭
@Bill Thomas I`m looking at Zona Alpha, and theres a guy doing a D20 modern opp take. Good news is having a lot more luck on "Sprue Shop " with Hellgate, its only the larger Demons like the C...
I'm going to have to go against the grain and not rave about it. For my money, the original was far better. Especially, I just couldn't get behind the mission, which was pretty ridiculous. And bas...
@Alex M Maybe you could convert some models from GW Adeptus Mechanicus since that range is quite weird, pulpy and whatever-you-want punk
@GreenScorpion Did you know that... once upon a time in Rogue Trader days -so W40K 1st till 1.5, Beastmen -or Gors since the 90s- were part of the IG like Squats, Ogryns and Ratlings? ... Mo...
@Daniel Broaddus personally, I'm mostly interested in a diesel punk weird war setting to accommodate models I already own, or am slowly(sigh) acquiring. I already had more than a few British&n...
I will have some in my conquistador army, and in my landsknecht army, but mostly looking forward to use them in RPG's. At 3 bodies per Sprue, do you think we will get enough of each ty...
On an unrelated subject to the latest posts, today I finished painting some gors which I am using to represent the tougher fauns from my books, with the fauns from RGD as the more typical and less ...
I think this is a very interesting and appealing concept but there is so much actual history that took place after the war and already forgotten that if we readdressed it feels like an alternate hi...
@Steven StGeorges Thanks for the suggestions. I am mostly looking for plastic or resin rather than metal not because of the price (although cost is always a factor) but because metal is signif...
Being originally from Upstate New York the F&IW holds a special interest for me. Gaming this period and location is on my to-do list and I already have some minis and terrain waiting to be buil...
Definitely in for cake... always... Thursday is "cake day" in my house FYI 🤣 Also would be definitely in for some more figures, especially tribes... Firelock Games (amongst others) make some great...
@Geoff Maybury sorry for the late response, "IRL" as you rightly say :( Did you get it sorted?
@Benjamin Hayward Hi I take lots of photos of minies. Set up I shoot on top of an IKEA shelving unit so I'm at eye level, I think the pictures look better then at an angel from above. I have two bl...
Appreciate the comments. Please do let me know @Grumpy Gnome if/when you put it together.
I am more interested than I was initially. I will likely pick a box up for Saga: Age of Magic.
I think lizard kobolds that could be used as stand ins for skinks for the Lizardmen would sell well. A more "realistic" Lizardmen army would be cool. Maybe some sniper rifles for a Deathfields option.
@William Redford Yeah, I like the bare feet too. I'm super psyched for these guys! I am very pleased with what I've seen so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing the final design, and getting thes...
I'd certainly grab a box of decent smallish kobalds of the reptilian type (and as suggested above if clothed alternate heads could represent dog faced ones too
while i like more options i'd rather have the choice of whether to pick a command sprue up or not there are plenty of options on the WGA stuff anyway (now if it came with extra bodies too that woul...
Looking forward to them, and can't wait to see what the deathfields bits are like
@Alex M Okay thanks for such useful tip... and what about the Ottoman Empire, since they did side with Central Empires during WWI, they should have a place in the setting.. like looking to take ba...
@Steven StGeorges I actually had to look up Castle Falkenstein, played a lot of Cyberpunk over the years, but don't think I ever leafed through the pages of CF. Same for timeline 191, familiar...
@Yronimos Whateley IRC... mIRC? ... I used to roam wargamer channels there, especially those on Undernet. But I was quite an addict to mailing lists and their typewritten carbon-copied semes...
@Charles Tottington They weren't separate...😅 How about some Alien Saviour Trump. 😅 YouTube adds are weird.
@Benjamin Hayward I would never live to enjoy them... My wife shares some qualities with armored ogres... mostly in fury...
So, just reading the original and comparing to the pic, looks like the boots were decided against. Though, I like the barefeet.
@William Redford you could just add 3 and 5 together and get 35 boxes I'll snag a box, for sure. I'd really like to play Five Leagues with black powder added in; I doubt it would be ...
From the origibal news info we got back in the day... "First, we need to lock down a size and proportion for these boys as they are our first "monster" size. Having looked around yesterday we sett...
