WW2 Winter British Question

  Can someone please tell me just what these usy are suppsoed to be wearint? It is not P37 gear.  The Braces are way too wide, and there is that odd horizontal chest piece that I've never seen. The braces looks more like P08. Of course the wind smocks they wear should not have a zipper, the the ammo pouches are way too low, and the boots have no toe cap (that's not a bg deal, but the others are).   And now I see the  WW1 Canadians, and the P08 they wear is just plain odd as well, and badly done  I cannot thnk of a 'printing reason for this, so assume that someoen has not looked in their British webbing books.   Can you fix it?
