Police/Detectives

  • Since there seems to be a good few things coming down the line now for Pulp Adventure (Survivors/Civilians, Modern Operators and the Renders from the April Fool's Day post being in the Newsletter Teaser), it seems like a good idea so suggest a Vox Populi set for that range.
Law Enforcement play a pretty major role in most Zombie Scenarios or just Modern settings in general, so a kit to represent this group would be useful.

Most of the bodies in the kit would have an Armoured Vest (representing either Bulletproof or Stab-Proof Vests depending on what setting you use the models in) and arms holding a few Firearms, "Less Lethal" weapon options and other Law Enforcement Equipment like Torches and Handcuffs to make "standard" Officers, but it would be a nice if the kit also contained a Torso in the Sterotypical Detective Trenchcoat (assuming the Survivors/Civilians kit doesn't already have a body like that) to lean into the Pulp aesthetic a little.

Heads in the kit should ideally have Police Hats from a few different places, some examples of which I have included below, and a Detective's Fedora (again, assuming that's not covered by Survivors/Civilians):Several examples of UK Police Headgear including a Bicycle HelmetA Stock Image of an American Police Officer

  • I just got my Male Survivors kit yesterday in the mail and it was a hoot to assemble, and I am just really pleased with it.  And I wanted to leave a bit of kind words for it and found this thread which I wanted to heartily endorse ase well.

I definitely have plans for games which could use a healthy load of plastic police miniatures.  And to kitbash with the upcoming Agents and Operators kit would just be absolutely wonderful.

I really like your reference picture with the various hat options as these can turn an American style officer into a British style one with a simple head swap.  And as the new Survivor kit demonstrates very well, the many head options give the kit a LOT of versatility.  I made some Cartel looking gang members and even some undercover cop looking miniatures all out of the same kit.  Just need some uniformed officers and we are golden.

  • i suppose it could work for 'film stereotype' cops, with the older look of uniform and hat and minimal other gear.

sadly a lot of modern cops (at least in the USA) look more like the 'operators' figures we've already got. just build them with bare heads and pistol arms.

(even the small town cops have gone this way.. whenever i see our school's "resource officer" i wonder if we're supposed to be in fallujah instead of rural missouri)

  • I dunno man, looks like victrix might have you covered.

(jokes aside, yeah some constables would be pretty nice with victorian fantasy on the rise)
