@Chris Guy I would have thought they weren't as effective as their alien overlords real militaries, otherwise they probably wouldn't be participating in a sport in the first place.

The above Facebook quotes are from@Hudson Adams and I can't edit the post... so "ooh rag" is there to stay... :(
Saw this pic on Facebook. "...they're deceiving actually depending on which legs you use they can fit on 25mm-50mm bases. Some of the standing legs really compact the overall body down" &nb...
@Mark Dewis Prity close mark, more closer to "Across the Dead Earth",but yes, lovely animal /human characters good or bad. Makes for real different style of play, and the searching for lost it...
@Grumpy Gnome Could not agree more my friend, the figures seem really OTT to me,particulary the adventurers, but like J-Tam with Stalinggrad, I do not intend to use their minis and in fact will enj...
I collect Northstar Plastic kits for DnD (and Frostgrave, Stargrave, Rangers of Shadow Deep and Oathmark) because of a variety of reasons and one of those is the high kitbash potential. One of my f...
@Mark Dewis I think this is pretty close to the truth, and I think it prevents even other, newer British mini companies getting deals with them. I won't say which one -or if they are still around o...
@Caratacus possibly it's a Renedra thing rather than a Victrix one? None of the three actually do their own casting, so maybe they're aligned to supply Renedra. Or (quite possibly) Nick Eyre or Kev...
I was going to try arms from Perry Sudan War British, but the matchup was a bit fiddly - the dragoon part was a lot easier to fit. Nonetheless, it looks like most Perry arms won't look out of place...
So we're talking Mordheim-esque but post-apocalypse "Lost World"?
At Spiel in Essen Mrs. GG and I have always stopped at the Drowned Earth stall, admired the game/terrain/minis, regretted the prices and walked away. Just a bit too rich for our blood.
WHen do you think these would be released
@vissly cao Very cool build love the mechs and tank.
@Alessio De Carolis Hit the nail right on, Alessio, this games got some great potential for conversion work amongst the characters. Eisenkern figures are not a bad point of start for that girl ridi...
I imagine that the Lizard men box will be very useful for who likes this kind of games, plus the various head options in Stargrave's boxes, either male and the new females' ones. Plus the two Canno...
Do the DF teams go out on actual military missions or train up local forces? Since DF teams seem to have the most amount of combat experience, even in a game, it would seem to me that they are the ...
The variety of the "Drowned Earth, a game I`ll enjoy for quite some time , even more so with WA upcomming releases.
For those on the forum who are getting to Know me, it will probably come as no surprise that Eileen brought me the "Drowned Earth" I`ve raved about it like a kid on a sugar rush. I love "Dino" mode...
I would have never thought of using the chimp head. Genius! And the Dragoon carbine looks great too.
@Geoff Maybury I saw over on Dakka Dakka that it appears to be a discontinued model from another company. “That's an old modular resin Heavy Tractor kit from Ratgard. Looks like R...
At first I thought the hats may be Irish Caubeens but the pompom on top would not be on there. I think they are just large Tam-o-Shanters for the British WW 1 set.
@JTam Tam I love this picture, it`s a real stunning piece, what a lovely twist on a lost world theme. Coppied with thanks. Cheers Brother, Geoff.
@vissly cao this is truly epic stuff here. I Love the Eichentarn on the infantry armour. The mechs are a blast. Keep it up man
@JTam Finally, the infamous Swedish Chefs Assault Unit for Death Fields 😂
Eh Guys hows about this machine?.
@Mark Dewis Snap my friend makes the job so much easyier, and you can do more complex cuts and designs, than metal. Although I`ll use metal figures, or parts, if I need, to get that special item. &...
@Geoff Maybury thanks. Being able to play around with posing is one of the main reasons I prefer plastic.
Someone here or on the FB group mentioned science fiction Halflings. I got out my own Halfling militia kit to do some head and arm tests; Stargrave male crew arms are too big, except for tha...
Hold on...... Versus .. Coincidence?
@Vitor Soares Isn't a beret with a hem a chef's hat?
@JTam it is probably the hem of the beret, in my opinion.
Great project... like it SO much... good paint-job... I like that "Sturmtiger"-Tank, I had for a few years same idea but never build. I had taken a Stug-III fоr my own Iron-Corps...
@vissly cao Love the "ambush" scheme on the mechs. They look great. The whole force is impressive. Can you tell us more about what looks like a hover bike?
I don't care. Lord alone knows what will be the de rigueur military headgear 300 years from now. The way things are going now, probably a beaniecap with a big ole rubber dildo on it a...
Said sneak peak: Could it be something Renaissance? They appear to be wearing berets or similar on top of skull cap helmets.
@H M no! Only one of you can win the title of Ultimate miniature champion! Don't mind me... just taking a moment to escape from work. You both have solid arguments and I would buy eithe...
I think following up on the giant spider's format would be good for breaking some of these ideas into separate boxes. Currently for spiders we have. 2 large creatures (horse sized) 2 big creatur...
Here is a good video, showing among other things how to use Archon D&L dungeon floor tiles to make roofs for Archon Rampart Kazumi Temple buildings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YeRSDC6GU0
@AJ Saunders I am not a especialist, but I agree that they look rather big.
@Brian Van De Walker I don't think your ever going to get away from plastic soldiers basically always being x-period warrior with a diffetne helmet. Even your examples boil down to a west europeans...
This is one of the reasons I like so much all these new plastic boxes, there are endless possibilities of building your personal figures, all you need is your fantasy. I just build with a Stargrave...
@Hudson Adams Imagine what a chap from AWI's days would say about our hats!😄
