When I first read Hounds I assumed dogs (like many of us did) but then we get a line like "Well maybe not the Brutes" could be interpreted to include the Hounds, making them probable humanoids. ...
When I first read Hounds I assumed dogs (like many of us did) but then we get a line like "Well maybe not the Brutes" could be interpreted to include the Hounds, making them probable humanoids. ...
Well lads, the article is up and it is glorious.
@H M I get it. I hope we eventually have a more plastic-like resin on the market, that is one that clips, cuts and shaves. I know I can cut and kitbash on my computer, but it isn't really the point...
@Geoff Maybury Catan has cards that are worth points that get passed around during the game for who has the longest road, biggest army ect. which allows for real time tracking. Death Fields could ...
@JTam according to GW you need at least 2, so you get enough guard with them to build all the options on their list.
@Caratacus other then the guns, there really isn't all that much in common. And telling others to do extensive green stuff work on every model in an army is just as disingenuous as me telling you t...
@Alessio De Carolis somthing like a mini agnostic game based on video game IPs like Age of Mythology or Titan Quest. Where players would be encouraged to research myths and add legends to historica...
@Geoff Maybury OPR is pretty good. There is a custom unit builder out there that out let you add in anything from your collection that doesn't have stats already.
I think a fantasy version of the "Command & Heavy Support" kit, something like "Command & Magic Support." It would probably sell well with Skirmish and RPG players.
@JTam I think all "viking-out" their heavy weapons would require is the shape of any blast shields. I also think that reinforcements from the Nordic Biker War would fitted team. As I imagin them b...
@JTam it would be cool if they released both versions of the team, like a before and after, or a civil war.
@Yronimos Whateley they look like a more refined version of The Damned from digital. I had my suspicions before, but now I'm practically certain.
I found these guys while window (screen?) shopping around for STLs. They reminded me of this thread. Guy has a lot of cool content.
@Grumpy Gnome I got those for my nephew, they are still fairly grimdark. It's a lot like Rim of the World on Netflix, lots of death, but never too gruesome. A youth catered horror show would...
@Mark Dewis or like 99% of Japanese women, they aren't known to be the most... imposing.
@JTam I also feel like I have been missing out. I mean
Female Goths at The Sacking of Rome... probably. More historic references ... probably.
Historic-Fantasy Female Regiments.
@Charles Tottington probably Firstborn, or Sisters with some work.
@Jay H. Indeed, and this handsome fellow, is also a skink. And they all serve as a reminders to have fun with our colour schemes.
@Estoc this is a skink Good luck to any lawyer defending a tradmark based on short anthromorphic lizards.
I've been listening to https://youtu.be/2QBA6ZPmj3Q while doing so.e chores today. I knew he had some connections, but it seems Pyrrhus was sheltered in Illyria as a child. I've been preparing som...
@JTam from my understanding, they are known for their use of the Sica, a curved sword their blend of gear was mainly Hellenistic and La Tène. But also a fair bit of Thracian and later, Ro...
I almost feel "Naken Hellens" could be a box in their own right. Mainly for diorama and fantasy.
I think somthing between the Foundry ones and the Wagames Factory (but better preparations) would look good. Some cake and some steak. I think it really comes down to what depiction of amazons we ...
Heavy Swordsman armed with javelin Elite Slinger / axe armed assult infantryman. Light Cavalry armed with javelins, and axe Illyrian where also some of the firts allies of Rome outside of ...
Reading this forum and looking at the Hoplite STLs has reminded me of my old love, Europa Barbarorum, rekindling my love for Hellenistic warfare. One of my favorite factions to play was Epirus, sp...
Ya, I think I would prefer little lizard dudes to rank up with my lizard men. Some not-Skinks, with sniper rifles for Death Fields. I would like these guys if they where 100% dog, like a barbaric ...
I think I may also jump on this band wagon. This idea would also translate to One Page Rules well. There are a lot of Feng Shui ornaments one can use as statue golems on sites like Ali Express. Yo...
Have you ever looked into One Page Rules' Age of Fantasy: Regiments? It has a lot of the Oldhammer feel, but there is custom unit calculator on their Patreon, (the math isn't that har...
@JTam Brent of Goobertown gives a rundown of Siocast in this video. https://youtu.be/RMLdgF2nMSc I've never worked with it myself, but it is gaining traction. I think I've read that WGA plans to ...
@Grumpy Gnome the whole land train is beautiful but way overpriced, I can only imagine what that Forge World one will cost. There are a few alternatives for 3D print, but price and quality (of STL...
@Mark Dewis from 20's-40's pulp super heros to the heros of myth and legend, there is room for heros in all ages!
@Lord Marcus I have some spiders on order, I'll kit bash a concept / prototype when I get them.
The digital range would be a great place to expand on the double duties kits. More Death Fields and Fantasy options for Lizard Men, Ogers, Giant Spider's, etc. I think weapon options are needed ac...
I had some ideas that I think would make decent digital releases. That is, ideas that would be good additions to the range, but maybe not in demand enough for full production. Maybe others would li...
My view of antiquity is heavily based upon the Total War mod Europa Barbarorum (both 1 and 2). Which starts around 280b.c.e and runs for a few hundred years. Fun times, I should download that game ...
Greeks history didn't end in 300b.c.e. Warhammer elves aren't restricted to one time period. They are a blend of fasions with a heavy fantasy polish.
@Geoff Maybury one can always try bringing the STLs to a local print shop to have them printed in higher quality then a home machine, and without the start up costs. The detail difference between ...
@Nanashi Anon look like monks or somthing to me.
@Mark Dewis also Odysseus survived the war. Not many heros did.
@Hudson Adams found it! Made by a gent called Treadhead Rad. They have physical prints available. https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-roach-modular-truck-model-kit-in-28mm-scale-164265
I know you guys don't want to be a Warhammer proxy company, but some 3D files may be a good outlet for that inescapable aspect of the business. Other then the Warhammer 40k crowed there is also On...
This is in a mobile game I play. It reminded me of this thread.
For fantasy I think elfs based of a historical range, with enough heads to upgrade a historical kit or two into elfs would be cool. For example Warring States China, could have a fantasy elf comman...
