@Geoff Maybury if WA sci-fi is too big modern-historics are probably your only option.
@Geoff Maybury if WA sci-fi is too big modern-historics are probably your only option.
Well I clipped all the left over conquistador heads to see what I may be able to use... man there are a ton. I did a count... I am not sure the proper names for each type of head but I divided in ...
@fodzilla Thats the only fly in the oitment over size guns. I`m scourcing figures for "Hellgate London" and love the Eisenkern , male and female, to make the Templer Knights. They fit well, but I n...
@JTam Yes should give us some veryreasonable figures and offer some nice converctions
@Mark Dewis "RRREE" the joys of trying to figure out Warlords prices. They pull them out of the hat with the "Rabbits". I`ve lost my hair with "Project Z", sick to the hind teeth with them. Just wa...
@JTam Catachan command - loose with no hand attached but I assume otherwise identical to other IG versions. @William Ings perfect, thanks, that's exactly what I was after! I ended up sawing down ...
I am not normally a fan of GW AoS sculpts but I do like those new “Orruks” and picked up a few cheap on eBay.
@JTam Its $162 on Warlord's site. But $126 on Amazon Amazon link for the Starter army I think they mix really well. The Landsknechts are a bit thinner, but not overly so. I didnt love all the hea...
@William Redford What was your overall impression/thoughts on how well mixing Warlord Games Landsknechts and WGA Conquistador parts works? 21x6=$126. Is that all that Landsknechts Arm...
@William Redford LOL. Sorry. Your "this is what I got so far" picture was really small on my phone. Still, I would just keep going with those guys. I've taken ...
@JTam :) yeah. Great episode.
Well, I ordered the landsknechts... I was weak. Amazon had a thing where you can pay $21/Month for 6 months. So it didnt impact my gaming budget much and my wife is none the wiser. :) ...yea...
I don't own Cannon Fodder (yet) but here is some Einherjar and one of my brothers old Cadians. Not the most pro comparison shot, but I think it shows the gear's scale well enough.
@JTam yeah. What I have so far is basically all Dominion. I have 2 sets of the 20 hobgrotz and then I got the complete orc half of the dominion set for $40. And the kit was "easy to build" so ...
@fodzilla That gas mask officer cap conversion looks great. Which GW kit is the grenade launcher from?
I know this is the WGA forum..... But have you checked out the "Dominion" Orcs on Ebay? (Search "Dominion Orcs.") Those are a lot of really nice minis for $75 or so. Your probabl...
@Charles Tottington Concur. It's a nice include for those that like the old school Squat vibe. And for those that aren't feeling it..... I'm sure there's enough helmet heads.
@Geoff Maybury I'm looking forward to WGA's Ancient Egyptian release..... should work for Broken Legions as well.
@Nanashi Anon I would lean towards most of the weapons on the sprue being Mausers. Mauser variants are easily the most wide spread rifles in use in the first half of the 20th Century.&...
The Wargames Atlantic kit plus: Equals maximum Starship Troopers movie fun.
@William Redford Human Centipad?
@Geoff Maybury Looks like it was deleted, it was a render of the Russian helmet in the drawing above. Fixed.
@Geoff Maybury I've suggested a sci-fi jeep a number of times, I suggested something like the bare frame style design that was in Infinite Warfare video game. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/8DD...
@William Redford Goblin spider cavalry? to go with the wolf riders on rougher terrain, ideal scouts one takes to the trees to bring back reports.
ok. Green skins it is. I really like what I have seen of oathmark's orcs. So guess they are next.
Greenskins would probably be best due to the similarities between the Landsknechts and Conquistadors. You can also start smaller but still expand a lot.
@John Wilson What was nothing on my screen
@John Wilson Hows about starting the ball rolling for a great little 4x4 for these beauties, and the Oh - Rahs. If a total missfit company, can do the Jackrabbit 4x4. just think what WA could do, a...
I would say keep working on the Greenskin army for now.
here is what I have for the green skins currently.
Now that it looks like the conquistador cavalry wont be out this year, I am debating on another army to do in the mean time. A) I have kind of started a greenskin army. I have 2 unit...
@JTam I love the fact one of them literally looks like a biker with the shades and mustache.
@Geoff Maybury They are going to be so damn useful for a wide variety of settings that need modern to near future military or militarized police.
@Yronimos Whateley Brilliant vid mate, one day you`ll have to tell me how you manage such long posts. Did you like the Jack Rabbit 4x4 we nearlly brought. Great for GI Joe, if only we could get WA ...
@John Wilson Oh boy these are just the ticket eh guys.
@Grumpy Gnome Eh. I like bannanas, and meee need more Hair.
Looks like the ogres will be before the cavalry.
@JTam I`ve got broken Legions as well, I use Victorix Plastics, and convert with Wargames Atlantic. They`ve some gladiators, monster well we are spoilt for choice Bones of course as some great, but ...
@Nanashi Anon They occur when teams upgrade their cell phones and dont fully read the terms and conditions before signing.
Are abductions done "in person" (via aliens in stealthy FTL craft) or teleporting people from lightyears away (a malicious, intentional, John Carter)? Do abductions ever get the wrong people (whoop...
Wings ("angel" and "dragon"), tails (cat, "demon")
The current partisans are pretty broadly usable. Some general 1919-1953 female Partisans would be neat. Of course, the main issue would be what guns to give them.
Wargames Illustrated issue 318 has a nice round up of some of the available 28mm Gladiator minis. There's also a blurb about the "Victus" Gladiator rules. To my eye the Brigade Games minis lo...
@Steven StGeorges I remember looking at the robot programming rule in an old White Dwarf back in the day. Thanks for sharing how they worked in real life/on the gaming table. I checked the...
Reference the much loved tablet. A neat enough bit I guess. But it really doesn't work in the context of the mortar he is crewing. The mortar as pictured might have some SMALL elevation and...
Some other excellent prone teams:
I'm working on some more heavy support but finding GW weapons are a nudge too big - see grenadier below, a bit too front-heavy I think. So, scouting for other options - has anyone tried Einherja...
@Blacky Mia Ok, I know that your post is spam... but it did make me laugh. So :)
