The latest (July 2022) issue of Wargames Illustrated reviews WGA's Conquistadors. Page 1: Mention is made of the nice bonus of two different sprues inside. Page 2: Bonus painting guide if y...
@JTam every time I look up obscure mythological stuff on YouTube I get assailed by "Bigfoot is real, bible is mark of the beast" adds or somthing of the sort.
Just came back from seeing Topgun with the family. On the 4th of July! Good movie. Fun time was had by all.
A really nice idea. I would certainly buy some indian boxes and some trapers, if there where any.the Northstar line Muskets & Tomahawks, and the Crucible Crush Flint and Feather line are great,...
Thoughts on the French and Indian War as an alternate setting for Silver Bayonet: https://wargamesatlantic.com/community/xenforum/topic/78358/french-and-indian-war
The French and Indian War is also an excellent alternate setting for "Silver Bayonet." Picture Daniel Day Lewis, COL Washington, and Robert Rogers fighting French Vampyre and Native Shapeshifters....
The French and Indian War saw the French and British battle for control of a continent from 1754 to 1763. Extraordinarily hard men fought in savage conditions. The wars...
@JTam it could be worse. I once got rolled into a thread that left me seeing clown-related “honk honk heaven” ads.
I like the robot troopers from "Robocop (2014)" and from "Monsters of man"... not the movies... bad trash... or the robot-guards from "Valerian..." Keytron???
Sigh.... Thanks to this thread I'm now getting Furry adverts.
@Ian It would be really nice to have the heads and hands/limbs available instead of having to have up perfectly good zombie minis.
@William Ings This novel is chock full of Silver Bayonet goodness: It's got everything you want: Russians, combat, vampires, frostbite, and a hooker with a heart of gold.  ...
@JTam zombie accessory sprue is a brilliant idea.
@Daniel Broaddus That could be a really cool setting. If you can lay hands on the old Warhammer Lustria supplement book it might be of use/inspiration to you. It has some ...
@JTam I haven't yet but I've been thinking about what would make good substitutions. I've already decided to make a more renaissance-esque warband using my Spanish and thought about using Lizardmen...
Every one as comented well on so many Alien Races I like them all one way or another. For me all I`d like to see added to the lists, Is correct species "LEGS", those of the Cat, Dog Wolf, Cra...
@Geoff Maybury I do like the bloky near future design, I've some from these from the Human interface: Be a better human boardgame (best picture of them I could find), monopose of course.
@Stephen Rodgers @William Redford with you all the way good sensible styled robots would be great, Don`t forget Imortal Engines and the cyber old ones.
@BS Kitbasher What I`d like to see is a race, that is for the most part an organic Killing race like Aliens. S,T. Yes when there deadlyness as a swarm as been shown, then if Weapons sprues are adde...
To be honest, I would like to see a continuation of the classic fantasy races in alien form. Space Elves that do not look like Eldar, but combine the classic elf look with alien weaponry and g...
@Daniel Broaddus @William Ings I don't know if you saw this thread when it came out: https://wargamesatlantic.com/community/xenforum/topic/61743/napoleon-era-weird-war It should be of inte...
Somehow this video is now appropriate to the thread: Hilarious
Was there ever an official color guide for the box models???
While we are talking about Accessory Sprues. It's been mentioned before, but a Zombie Conversion sprue with heads and arms/hands would be super useful for kit bashing zombies out of almost all the...
@William Ings I was also thinking of picking up a hollow book like this: In order to hold the warband and cards. Maybe put in dividers. Maybe line it with metal sheet for magn...
@Daniel Broaddus Others have talked about a WGA Zombie conversion sprue. (Zombie heads and arms/hands). Sure would be convenient to bash some Rifleman or Prussians with. Have you foun...
My British Silver Bayonet project: At left, a Warlord British Napoleonic cavalry sprue that came free with a Wargames Illustrated. On the far right is another free sprue of later per...
That's going to be an amazing looking warband and that's a great idea for the goblins. I used all my left over dogs to make the grey wolves and picked up some reaper minis for a werewolf and the bi...
I agree with this. The robots in Will Smith/s I-Robot are pretty nice looking. The robots in the Total Recall remake were similar and also good. If you make them human size and shape, then i...
A Robot faction would be a great addition to the Death Fields. I really like the generic robot men from the Will Smith movie I Robot. Not the advance model that goes on a rampage. I mean the older ...
This weapon looks good: It has some design cues from Starship Troopers: Ilysian pattern lasguns: And Aliens: It's a nice stand in for any of those settings. Frankly WGA h...
@Daniel Broaddus I also picked up a WGA Goblin and Rifleman sprue to kitbash into Silver Bayonet Goblins. I'm picturing some of the goblins wearing shakos and carrying captured bayo...
@William Redford Honestly I don't own that set. I'm putting together an Eastern Front WW2 Italian Army..... but the WGA WW2 Italian helmets don't look anything like WW2 Italian h...
@Daniel Broaddus My Silver Bayonet French project: Wargamer Hot and Dangerous Hussar, Old Guard Grenadier, Polish Lancer, and Officer. Brigade Games Sapper. Warlord Games Viva...
@William Ings I've been meaning to pick up these (for the same reason): Cards
@JTam How many of those command sprues do you get in the Italian box? and How many total figures do you get in the box. The Warlord Landsknechts. The pike box has 30 guys in a box and a comm...
Pseudo Death Dealers could also be handy for Necromunda. Like these nice miniatures from Heresy: I was going to use them as counts as Delaques..... But the flavor/loadout/weapons of ...
@William Ings That is annoying... I am ashamed to say that the southpark "Blame Canada" song started playing in my head... I would send an e-mail to Wargames Atlantic just to confirm if that is re...
Probably not the place to report this. But I couldn't buy the accessories sprue from Canada. There is also no multi sprue deal, which I find off putting, kitting out a full box almost doubles costs.
I am on the same side of the fence as @Geoff Maybury is but for completely selfish reasons. 🤪 If they dont have futuristic weapons, then I can use them in fantasy games... Demons, outsiders, abbera...
@Grumpy Gnome So... :) I appreciate the the level of detail you look at minis. And personally I hate when people tell me "relax, they are just toys..." So, please keep up with the way you look at t...
@John Wilson I think that is why they are calling it a knock off. It looks like a pulse rifle. If they had just made it look more generic no one would be bitching. The money I send to Anvil or...
The WW2 Italian Infantry is another box that features a more or less accessory/command sprue. Again, it's the regular price, and again it seems value added.
@BS Kitbasher I too took the flash sale of the Accessory Sprue as a bad sign. But I think the separate Accesory Sprue is a great concept. That particular sci-fi sprue is j...
@William Ings I have no regrets!😅That's a great looking Grognard centaur! I think there's a place for some further DF kitbashing sprues, to mash up some more of the Classic Fantasy armies. Maybe so...
@Geoff Maybury Big Thanks Brother! I'll pass it on to Sweet Girl :)
@Mithril2098 Mantic's Forge Guard already have a similar system, in hard plastic, so it's definitely doable to have separate wrist and shoulder mounts for weapons.
@William Ings in the first post I was totally bashing "traditional" fantasy creatures in sci fi war gaming. However, I gotta admit that Grognards Centaur looks ridiculously cool. Centaur Drago...
