@Duncan Sargent My command have just arrived, have yours?
I've got plenty of regulars painted as Brits and Patriots, but no militia. The WGA minutemen/militia will be a much-needed addition to my AWI skirmish armies.
@Brian Van De Walker yes, I know there are loads of differences in 18th century uniforms but the old Spencer smith plastic that spurred the development of 18th century imaginations only had one typ...
@Scott Pyle The bases provided make it easy to use these with the Midguard rules.
I had a look for more information about this because I'm interested in seeing what people came up with, but there doesn't seem to be much online. Is there anywhere I could check out pictures of peo...
@Ariel Nataf well. if your good with paper, there is a whole other world of papercraft kits. Armchairgeneral, Onemonk, FreePaperModel.com, and spacestation42.com are good resources (you'll have to ...
I'm personally really glad they decided to do them in skirmishing poses. Most sets are always in marching poses and it gets pretty repetitive. As somebody that enjoys building displays and dioramas...
@Duncan Sargent Yeah, I ordered one too. Hoping it turns up soon, but glad to see it's not just me.
@Mithril2098 Ooh, that means the Coftyran one has 3 R-cos! Might pick one up sometime! (I like R-cos)
The crusader specialists has been shared on the discord.. 4 bodies per sprue, good mix of arms.
Pendraken fron the UK carry 10mm terrain, as well as their own lines of 10mm figures. Dark Horse Hobbies carries their stuff in the US. Timecast in the UK do buildings, rivers, roads in 10mm. Batt...
Could be like the Fidwogs though, they have 6 per sprue with that little tractor, so it really depends on how much kit they want to include. If they have the field gun then that does not leave a lo...
I made myself a bunch of building using paper models of building. I took 28mm and reduced size not the easiestst build at this scale but at least no need for painting.
Only issue with that is the description "generic" and anything European after the 17th century have nothing to do with one another, but okay.
I would love to be able to have a Quar farm populated by various critters, or a wood or whatever. It maybe just dressing but look at how much some people spend on scenery. I can see myself buying a...
With the continued interest in 18th century imaginations, I think there's definitely scope for a generic 18th century range. Bit like a modern version of the old Spencer Smith range
The minutemen will be useful, I'm not sure about a whole box of grenadiers in multiple poses
Just build castles and other terrian from foam using tutorials you trust/can follow, just make sure the doors look like the right size for 10mm. Likewise making houses at that scale should b...
a few of them are getting rules at least.. the Fydos are part of the fidfog army, the Sarf-cyn are part fo the normal Gloam-hynn squad, etc. agreed though that most of the critters so far have bee...
@Mithril2098 See, I think the thing is I believe most critters (except fydos and pyk-pyks, which are commonly used in combat) shouldn't have rules, as they probably wouldn't be in combat much, it w...
i think it would depend a lot on the critters, and how much a role they have in the games.
If you don't mind 3D printing, the stl pack "6mm Fortifications" by Productions Diratia is a modular castle builder and the "Western Kingdom - Battlefield Bundle" has a ruins of a village, siegewor...
@Mithril2098 Now I think about it a critter box probably wouldn't sell that great, since people really only want 1 or 2 as novelties. I really do hope Fydos get plastic models though, as they are s...
@Mithril2098 I'd hope 3 sprues, since from what we know, the Crusader kit would contain 12 bodies and at least 30 different arms, plus accessories.
wonder how many figures per sprue. 12 figures total plus a bunch of parts suggest they might even have 3 full sprues?
given that WGA seems to be doing its riders and horsemen as seperate sprues now in general, a riding animals box is certainly possible. though i'd imagine it'll depend on if Mr Qualtieri agrees to ...
I finally have some infantry to go alongside with my Warlord Games revolutionary war cannon set.
I can't wait to get my hands on the new miniatures coming out!! Been working on building armies in this period for a long time, and these look great!
@Sparkly Miniatures I could see a max of 1 per sprue, as they're a cool unit but one which takes up a bunch of space if you aren't building them.
@Brian Van De Walker Yes! A critter box. You could do gwylons, fydos, pyk-pyks and maybe some of the 3d print ones too.
@Mithril2098 Fair enough, I just wanted to help spread the idea, since they're really cool designs and I hope WA does them.
Anybody want to recommend some terrain purveyors, or some good hacks / videos for making 10mm structures? I have plenty of boulders and hills carved from insulation foam, so I am covered the...
RCO gunners are referenced in the text of the specialist post so I'd guess there'll be at least one in the box.
weekly update: Quar Coftyran Command - Shipping Quar Crusader Command - Shipping Crusader Specialists - Pre-order May 2 Coftyran Specialists - Pre-order May 2 Western Arnyaran Infantry (Chec...
@Brian Van De Walker They are rectangular for the main units, circular and oval for the heroes. The "texturing" is very subtle. It's basically the same as the 28mm round bases.
@Scott Pyle they're meant to use inside the indented side of the dual-use bases but you can just as easily use them on the top. The other side is designed so that once you glue them you can pour in...
@pafbraed287 Hmm, I kinda of want the cadiers in big box by themselves, they would work great alien wildlife or beasts of burden for regular SciFi gaming.
They come with textured bases? I thought they came with easy magnetize square bases.
They're as awesome in person as they appeared on the screen! I do have a question on the bases, and maybe it's a silly one, but can you use either side to base them on? Obviously, the...
i'm sure it is planned for the future. at least for the main factions. (sub-factions and minor factions will probably stay the purview of the 3D prints.) but i suspect we won't see them until the m...
Ok, just a suggestion, no need to take this seriously, but I think plastic cavalry would be a really fun thing to do for quar. They would be a pretty essential unit for Mass Battle, as they're one ...
@Scott Pyle Dragons and Scorpions are good, we can use the classic fantasy spiders as is. The Greek beasties would be intresting.
It would be fun to see a "Monster" box featuring a Dragon, Chimera, Giant Scorpions, Manticore, etc. Anybody else have any ideas for a box like this? I was thinking Trolls and Ogres, ...
I have to admit I hadn't really considered the alternate modern stuff when I wrote that. I've heard of a few things like Walking Dead, (I think) I've heard of Zone Alfa somewhere before, and I know...
@Yronimos Whateley I am kinda of on the other end of the spectrum, I have bought several WA kits but I rarely get Northstar's stuff cuase its mostly a little too thick looking to me compared ...
I'm personally a big fan of the Great Martian War style tripods.
@Mithril2098 Yeah, I do hope these kits do well so WA has the motivation to make more. Honestly, the Creevin one looks really cool if they do end up doing it, and would be all the more motivation f...
@Mithril2098 yeah, I really hope that the first two vehicles do well enough for WA that it makes sense for them to expand into the (extremely cute) mogyn and daen-fen.
@Duncan Sargent there are at least 2 other vehicles using the Ailthean's track system. the Maer Braech Raewyr Support tractor, which is basically an Ailthean with a different turret, creating an op...
