@Marc Hameleers Absolutlely. Because it's true.
Except the system won't work like that so the Release Schedule page is where you'll find things.
Doesn't work that way. If it's out of stock it's unable to be purchased by anyone not just by the customers in the US. Release Schedule page is always being kept up to date with the latest.
And some of us think that is best orc look ever.....
It seems they've decided on the Angus McBride look, given their Goblins and the digital Orcs they have/had available through Strange Plastic.
Just list them as out of stock. It creates a mystery if they suddenly vanish. Its bad for the brand as well.
read this thread: https://wargamesatlantic.com/community/xenforum/topic/200437/landsknecht-ogres-where-are-they#post-388296 the WGA store is only showing the items available to production...
Call me crazy but I can't find that beautiful Guards or Townsfolk box anywhere on the website. I had to go off the site to buy a box. Does anyone have a idea where it is listed for purchase?
In the US. I do see the Landsknecht Ogres, but the Guards and Villagers boxes are both gone for me. The search function doesn't turn them up and links to where the pages used to be now ...
Yeah Fantasy Knights would cut right to the essense of the product, and let you do what you need with the design and not muddy the water with historical labels. I think there would be ...
if they leaned more towards a 32mm scale, you might be able to double-dip into stormcast players too. plus i kinda feel like fantasy knights should be big. they're knights!
@timbus the thirteenth a shame the design choice. I just can't enjoy the 70's look. Not much choice in the market for 10mm fantasy plastic tbf. Well money not spent.
i'd market them as "fantasy knights" of some sort. the armor doesn't really have a close historical analog (they're mixing different eras and elements, with a lot of added fantasy flair), but it's ...
That Beastarium is quite gothic, looks like they are going to get lots of Trench Crusade traffic for sure. Sounds like a pretty good kitbash you did, Perry Miniatures is definitely one I shou...
@Vitor Correia you are going to have to define what you mean better then, because "modern" is not really descriptive. especially if you cite Weta's LOTR/Hobbit film Orcs as "not modern"
Good lord, I'd go batshit for a woodcraft kit. Sprue and popsicle sticks can only go so far! Could be part of a boxed game, too, like with the market/barricade kit.
I dunno man, the odds of WGA suddenly shifting their style feels pretty low. Even if they did, it feels like they'd want to do a kit that's not really on the market yet, like with the guards/villag...
I just did some quick googling of that movie, and yeah holy shit that's some sick looking armor. I accidentally did some knights in a similar "walking tank" style by mixing together perry miniature...
I may very well represent a very small niche interest group but I would love to see a 28mm kit for the knights of the John Boorman 1981 Excalibur film. They have such a wondeful aesthetic, th...
I also think a woodcraft kit would be a pretty good idea. A couple of wooden platform squares, railings/ladders and a number of single planks of wood in various lengths would be pretty helpfu...
@Mithril2098 Not "modern" in modern days. Modern, not looking like 70's orcs, and more weta workshop orcs. Modern design.
if you mean "fantasy creatures in modern times", just stick orc heads onto the 'civilians and survivors' kits.. most urban fantasy setting go one of two ways.. "traditional fantasy monsters living ...
did a check to test a hypothesis. confirmed a suspicion. with the recent changes to production WGA has done because of the tariff situation, they now have two chains of production. one USA, one UK...
@Brian Van De Walker Thats odd! I just rechecked and they still dont appear for me. Ive checked classic fantasy and death fields, plus used the search tool. Nothing.
The Landsknecht Ogres still show up on my end in the classic fantasy section.
Does anyone know if these got discontinued or something? Was hoping to pick some up but can't seem to see them on the WGA website anywhere Am I missing something obvious???
@Vitto Cheri How did you post a hyperlink without getting blocked bot? I have to know😆
i wonder how cross compatible the Creevish, Arnyaran, and Partisans will be with the existing crusader and coftyr figures. in terms of mixing and matching parts without having to do a lot of greens...
Hey everyone! So, a friend in India recommended https://4rabett.in/app/ because he said it was better than anything else he’d tried. I laughed at first, thinking he was full of crap, but then...
Im lacking on modern fantasy quality plastic kits. Not the 70's goblins, chainmail dwarves, and scantily clad elves.
@timbus the thirteenth I would just buy from McDougle Designs if ebay is off the table since I live in the USA.
I just noticed the following on the release schedule page: GRAND BATTLE SCALE AZINCOURT ENGLISH ARMY Photography GRAND BATTLE SCALE AZINCOURT FRENCH ARMY Photography I would gues...
Any idea when they are scheduled to go on pre-order or released? It's seems like they have been progressing slower than other releases. I am very excited for the release of these figures....
Maybe a mix of both? Two fur speedos and four harnesses would be a good compromise, since it lets wga build off the existing digital sculpts. At the very least it would be a step up from the altern...
personally, if they go this route, i'd make the 'scifi' bits like guns based off the Barsoom style of guns, so the kit can make either conan-clones or John carter expies.. in the books the guns fir...
You do you @Brian Van De Walker , but I didn't invent the term, it's over 40 years old by now, older than Warhammer, and the style itself is even older: Raygun Gothic The hayday of the style...
Depending where you live you may find resellers who split the boxes. It can be quite poor return for the WA, but I would welcome this option as well. There's Sprueshop UK and Battle-models in ...
Alright, so I'm going to preface this by saying that I know next to nothing about how production works, so this might be a much larger request than I'm imagining. With that said, there's a really n...
@Yronimos Whateley I would be cool with lefthanded flintlock/percussion cap pistols and Uzis for the barbarians instead of rayguns if they need guns particularly if the target your aiming for...
Honestly I'd just go for it if you like the models, scale and setting be damned. You'd be suprised what a healthy dose of bits and wires can do to any kind of model to make it look sci-fi.
@Yronimos Whateley Ah, that wonderful blend of heroin, ignorance of nonwestern civilizations, and repressed bisexuality that makes turn-of-the-century pulp so wonderful! Yeah, I was looking at most...
A bit late to this, but I'm going to say that it's Edgar Rice Burroughs and Frank Frazetta that you get to blame for the fantasy barbarian in loincloth archetype - Robert E. Howard's Conan the Barb...
no updates on the above.. but we have a new one to add the list... QUAR PARTISANS - Layout yep, the armed civilians are on the way.
@Drangir You can also just add magazines, scopes, wiring, etc. to the guns the mini has, though admittedly that depends on the look you want.
@Elliot Vulkan I don't really think you need to kitbash or convert them persay, the crusaders for example are pretty dang SciFi looking already, in a Valliran comics sort of way even. Heck for Dea...
Good way to incorporate weapons to minis is to keep handles as they are and carefully exchange the weapons - it works great for most of the WA minis and with quar you may be lenient with proportion...
I think you could rig the ruleset to allow both head to head battles, or as a "castle defense" game with elements of space hulk. you just have the "castle defense" version be a different set of sce...
Wow, I feel terrible I missed this thread when it was still fresh - what a great find! I took the "dungeon crawl" description the same way Brian did, but I think the idea of a Weird World War-them...
