@Geoff Maybury Great details. So cool to have a piece of history and learn all its ins and outs. The Jeep owner was a great guy. Let my daughter get behind the wheel :)

@JTam Nice comparison to the British Bren Carrier mate.
@Steven StGeorges Amen to that, I loved his figures
@JTam You made my night, oh boy shes a gem , you can make out the handles on the wipers and the gravity bar that conects them great photo. If I`m not mistaken he`s a Thompson in the Garands rifle o...
Don't be hating because these Kobolds have been putting in the time and making MASSIVE GAINS at the gym!!!! These minis are jacked. Aren't Kobolds supposed to be weedy? Full disclosure...
@Grumpy Gnome I was typing my reply at the same time as you. Similar thoughts.
@Alessio De Carolis I checked two different sources that claimed the Italian tankettes were 30 cal proof. But I 100% believe you. Maybe they were proof against common ball ammo a...
I think the entire SYW is forgotten by most people. It kind of seems like a prelude for wars people actually are interested in. It also SUPERFICIALY didn't seem to have much history alt...
At the risk of sounding a bit contentious... tools need to be judged by their application. There is more utility to these kinds of Tankettes than just comparing them to heavier tanks. Or to s...
@Estoc Problem is that the lizard tail makes it clear that the dog heads are an afterthought. Like the canine heads do not mix well with lizard bodies. They got lizard feet, lizard tails, and they ...
@Caratacus Yeah, but for "Eastern Dragon" heads they're very much miss instead of hit.
Halfling Ice Queen? Winning!
Yes. I definitely need some halfling winged hussars for my Halfling Queen.
@Alessio De Carolis Quite the visionary. It looks like at least one his books was translated into English and is available now: https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/electric-life-albert-robida...
They work well for their purpose, which is savage dog-men instead of the usual lizard goblins. I can understand why you might be unhappy, but I love these guys. Once again, wish they were real though.
@Geoff Maybury Looked it (The Nevers) up. Looks interesting, but I don't have HBO.
@Charles Tottington I thought D&D Dragonborn were based on Western dragons, rather than the Eastern ones whose heads can be seen on the Kobold models?
@Geoff Maybury I had no idea the windshield wipers on a jeep worked like that. Great detail. It's true most military equipment is a nightmare to maintain now. The only good thin...
Also, those dragon heads........ they just don't scream Kobold to me they scream DnD Dragonborn but uglier.
@JTam Oh, somebody already made a post about them. To be honest with you guys, I don't like them. They're too buff, the dog heads do not match the bodies at all, the only thing I really like are th...
Well... we got Kobolds... only one problem. THEY! ARE! CHONK! This looks..... oof. Man, that is badly proportioned. Yeah it is easy to tell where the problems are with this image. There is...
Have you ever looked into One Page Rules' Age of Fantasy: Regiments? It has a lot of the Oldhammer feel, but there is custom unit calculator on their Patreon, (the math isn't that har...
The late Mediterranean Bronze Age was very important in human history, a lot of civilizations rise, for some historians the fall of most of them was more devastating than 5th century fall of wester...
The "American" part of SYW has always been a bit neglected by most people (well, until M. Mann's movie). there were some tv miniseries (one with SWAT's Steve Forrest)and some movies, but generally ...
There are on YouTube a lot of tutorial how to scratchbuild sci-fi vehicles & similar, you can also find free paper models that could be used for templates for scratchbuilding in plasticard a lo...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Robida This one was a precursor of VSF, some ideas could be borrowed from his works.
@JTam my father spoke with some guys that had fought in NA, and they said that the .303 AP of the vickers could pierce the (tin) armour of these ...things, and in Spain had appened the same thing, ...
@Mark Dewis @JTam Did you both like our "The Nevers" Eileen and myself found it refeshingly different now waiting for the second series.
@JTam Yes I`d say a lot of homes still use these but the new flush just over the basin arrived about mid 1990`s still alot of middle class and posher go old stlyle. Me if it works don`t fix i...
@Grumpy Gnome Now if only we could do something about the 200% mark up we`d all be so happy. E-bey only as so much, and I`ve a small amount of sadness for the poor guy who brought it full price. Th...
@Mark Dewis Love the Tau, very "Manga" great off E-bey etc, and the Kroot must be one of the most kit bashed subjects (great with Rubicon Marine or VC arms) from sprue spares, also work for Afgans ...
I think it is nice to see GW have a few less skulls all over the place and making the weapons a little smaller. Maybe the makers of Nerf guns complained... but whatever the reason, works for me.
@Mark Dewis are you saying they didnt fight in the North African campaigns? Or that we dontbsee the remains because they were destroyed utterly (by said Dale... er.. Matilldas)? While I cl...
@Allan Lougheed Huh. The back IS odd. It's regrettable that we are now forced to attach the packs. I guarantee you few brought those a trench raiding. I agree with you they...

Other thing I need: a saddled Halfling body for the chickens. It would be perfect for One Page Rules.
@Allan Lougheed To say the least there is a lot that could be added to an additional sprue. Wargames Atlantic does have an upgrade sprue for deathfields so producing one for the British might be a ...
As far as officer equipments, you really need the Sam Browne type belt. Which the French officer has. Warlord are a good source for weapons - they retail their sprues direct and the WW2 British on...
A week really is a lifetime on the internet. I've been so wrapped up in other things I just noticed the announcement today. But this is really cool and I'm very glad to get these in plastic. Someon...
Warlord Black Friday Sale:
@JTam totally agree that WHFB works for mythic/legendary stuff such as this.
I really dig the Adeptus Mechanicus, but not enough to buy anything retail (except for the one box of Skitarii I have); everything else I snagged at a bargain second-hand. Mostly bits to kitb...
Brown cam completed and tomorrow evening should be able to add the dark yellow. Then a lot of touching up before weathering. Pat
@Geoff Maybury totally agree. My main GW days were in the 00's, though I have been around long enough to remember the 80's version. The 40K stuff is largely unusuable for general science fic...
@Alessio De Carolis to paraphrase Dr Who: L3 Tankettes: "We have five million Tankettes! How many are you?" Matildas: "Four!" L3 Tankettes: "You would destroy the Tankettes with four Matildas?" ...
@JTam a lot of us prefer Victorian Science Fiction (VSF) as a term instead of Steampunk. And for that matter, if the setting is more in line with Wells and Verne (such as Space:1889) and avoids the...
@Grumpy Gnome I've generally been very pleased with Brigade Games minis. I think the Warlord line is a lot more variable in quality. (Some metals very good, others less so). ...
I think both sculptors are better than me and it is hard for me to say one is definitively better than the other. I would need to paint up both and then try to decide which to keep.
https://youtu.be/1_LEFYcMrN4 Video covers "light" or skirmishing Infantry in the Napoleonic Wars. Info on Grenzers at 21:34 or so. Also discusses their traditional Ottoman opponents as well...
