Maybe farmers/field workers? Generic clothing and tools, baskets, maybe harvested crops... Seems like it could fit in with fantasy and historic ranges, from iron-age to maybe WW2?
@Peter Brian Concur on Bad Squiddo. Their all female WW2 Soviet line is great idea. I have a bunch of those minis. But the line could benefit from being plastic, and honestly, b...
Kromlech makes some great stuff too that would be awesome in plastic. Particularly their Space Orcs: Space "Operator" Dwarfs: And 1939 Polish troops: Also, plus 3 on the Anvil I...
Victoria Miniatures. Beautiful, well sculpted, well scaled minis. (These desert warriors are some of their newest and really look good). (These are almost brand new. ...
Bad Squiddo games. They already have a customer base for plastic box sets they get in, but also have their own metal range.
I have to agree with Infinity. There are lots of smaller things I'd love to see in plastic sets, but nothing else stands out as really viable.
I wish the late lamented Spartan Game had managed that with their Dystopian Legions range. Hard plastic Victorian Sci-Fi infantry has lots of uses, and the metal models never quite got traction.
Ground Zero Games, specifically their 25mm Tuffleyverse factions, up date them to 28mm sculpts of course so they can mix with other ranges. They have been largely forgotten with the 15mm versions g...
Privateer Press definitely should be investing in plastic instead of their resin/metal combination they settled on. Maybe if their PVC were properly set in the molds it would have been fine, but th...
I know this section of the forum is filled with people pitching ideas for fantasy boxes that didn't make it past round 2 of the big community vote that we did a while back, and while I don't claim ...
Footsore Miniatures is what pops into my mind right away.
@JTam Bruh those are literally GW numbers but with less customization and fewer extra bits. Cmon wiz kids
I'm trying to think of what you could use with the new horse box to get this idea on the road but I keep running into one issue. Who makes models in a position mounting a horse but doesn't sell the...
Theassaultgroup.co.uk I love their stuff and am fully aware that it all overlaps with possible things in the Renaissance line that you have but like... Theyre some of the only people m...
I can't think of any ranges currently in metal or resin that would have the smarts / sculpts to transfer across TBH. I still think filling gaps for periods / genres is better for WGA.
As much as I don't like the aesthetics I could see infinity being more popular if they went HIPS. They are doing Siocast at some point but it's unproven as regards how good those sets will be
Kind of agree with you on Anvil Industries, but I think part of their strength is the fact that you can mix and match their range of bits which might not be economical to do in plastic. I'd love b...
Not sure if this counts, but Anvil industries. I like their models, but I prefer working with plastic.
The Roman AB set will be in mail and the Goth one unarmored.
You'll see another one in a couple hours ;-)
We all have our favorite companies making metal and resin figures. If you had to think of one company that would benefit from hard plastic who would it be? Caveat: it can't just be someone you like...
Polling for weather to do kobolds as doggie, rodent or draconic/lizard like kolbolds was already done a while back at least once or twice now (same deal with weather to do kobolds, which actua...
Scatter terrain would be cool, but I think terrain would be its own line if they went that way. I think WGA would slay peoples wallets if they did a range of plastic trenchworks, every historical a...
@H M I share that excitement, really looking forward for my new Late Roman Army,
@William Redford I was thinking of a similar thing, but for Takeda. I would only swap the monks for a second box of mounted samurai.
I would say that an upgrade sprue for tbe undead would be better in the fantasy line, but I am very excited for this line. Probably the farm animals box, some carts maybe, and some scatter terrain...
@Mark Hoffman Good find! Thank You. It's a great time to try and convert a Polish army. Christopher Tyrer recently found these too: http://siberia-miniatures.ru/product_info.php?c...
Great atmosphere! Thanks for the video. I haven't done these ones, but they are taunting me at my favorite game store, so I know I'll have to sometime.
So.. a new line means new speculationright? What all are you expecting to fall under this line? I'm guessing we'll eventually get an Undead set or upgrade sprus through this line. Zombies, Ghouls ...
@Michael Cornish The more I see the more I am kind of wanting one too. But I think I just want a smallish force... I am thinking: Oda, 1 box of mounted Samurai 1 box of command 2 boxes of...
thanks for the heads up--I would love to have a samurai army but the excellent perry metals are too expensive and warlords old recasts of wargame factory samurai arent very good
Hi. I was reading thru the March issue of Wargames Illustrated, and on page 20 under the Release Radar section, they list a manufacturer, anzio-miniatures.com . They have Chinese , Polish and...
Those look great! Straight from the Grognards set?
@BS Kitbasher That's a pretty convincing Leman proxy. Your stowage looks good! Tanks tend to have most of their stowage out of the way behind the turret in the bustle area. The Germ...
WGA posted an update: https://www.facebook.com/groups/WargamesAtlanticLegion/permalink/1323003768178771/?app=fbl Looks like some Penal Troopers ready to open some whoop a*s.
And with some additional dollar store crap, voila! It's done.
I think to start, maybe make a poll and see what people like. Dogbolds like the 1st 2 pics above, or lizbolds like the 2nd 2... I was going to say i prefer the dog ones... but i am torn wi...
@Yronimos Whateley I do like how Kobolds are portrayed in the Midgard setting. Especially in Zobeck. They live in the kobold ghetto, and have an elected king who when bad things happen gets all the...
Oh, I really like the idea of arming fantasy Kobolds with guns, and other advanced technology! I've seen some fantasy settings give Goblins a sort of fanatical and savage lunacy niche, with Pathfn...
@Brian Van De Walker Leg swaps would definitely give teh set more versatility.
@JTam I need to get some Crooked Dice stuff.
@Caratacus The amount of players of AOS or WFB that have zero plans to ever play in GW tournament is still VAST. I would also dare say they are an order of magnitude greater in numb...
@Brian Van De Walker Huh, I thought Gallowglasses first appeared in the Dark Ages and didn't know they were first mentioned in the 13th Century. Still, just because they were first mentioned in wri...
Can anyone recommend to me some good resources for painting and weathering tanks? Also, how stowage has typically been applied? Thanks.
@Brian Van De Walker I suppose it would make sense to fit them in with the existing Lizardmen, but I wouldn't want them to have primitive wood and stone weapons or bone armour, particularly weapons...
Here is my dollar store tank with some useful trash and about $3 worth of stowage. I'm not sure whether I want to add side sponsons or just finish the thing off. My family call it "th...
