Do we know if WGA got the rights to make any of these "in progress" designs? While i doubt they'd do the vehicles any time soom (especially the titans), but these shadowkesh aliens would be interes...

Finished a few more GSC cult insurrection box based conversions yesterday: Over the weekend I also worked on sculpting a larger torso to use with the spare space marine heads and gors arms/heads...
Saw this and thought it might be of some interest to people here. This looks like it would go well with WA conquistadors. These could be command, or you could use the Conqs with this ruleset. Kick...
Thanks Simon, I don't know "Taro Modelmaker"... I used google für their shop... and I like it... great items... I think I must order there a lot of things... Very thanks....
I'd say flamer since it has the standard underslung tube for the pilot flame, although it does look like a tri-barrel above it (for some reason). My first thought for this was that it fits right i...
The mods are not STLs - the hands are purchased from Taro Modelmaker, and the lower legs are from Legio Models (the poseable leg set - I purchased a set of them and never used them as designed, but...
Mutiple inlet tubes that combine at a nozzle are a thing for welding equipment. One for Oxygen, one for Acetylene, for example. The underneath tube is for the pilot flame.
@Eric Howanietz Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I see upgrade/accessory sprues solving a lot of "Wouldn't it be great if we had [X]?" problems. Want robot/cyborg/possessed/alien/beastmen...
@Yronimos Whateley Yeah terrified civillians only make sense for me if you were trying to do a diorama like an alien invasion or use them as objective pieces. Speaking of which, we REALLY need mor...
@John Wilson I have my hesitations given how they did the Halo TV show. Man am I glad that show is not considered canon.
If WA can be accomidating enough to make a $6 Death Fields Weapons Upgrade Sprue 001, that provides the heads and equipment you need to go full Death Core. They could easily make a Hobgoblin Upgrad...
@William Redford it would be a nice compliment to the halflings box set.
@Brian Van De Walker Ya I think the volume of models is really what would get people motivated with Kobolds box set. A couple of campaign settings have even used swarm rules for them
Another weekend, another batch of painted miniatures :)This time it was 4 vehicles, including 2 Meng World War Toon King Tigers and 2 Mantic Mules. Already primed the next batc...
As a reward to myself for finally finishing my swordman, I played around with some stuff just for fun. I built the last 2 horses from the WA sprue I bought form @Lord Marcus * The fe...
Lasers do have a lot of advantages in a desert. Low moisture increases the effectiveness of the laser. Large open spaces make long range fire more important than in areas where dense vegetation or ...
worth noting that part of the reason that japanese, chinese, and mongolian armor and weapons have so much visual simularities is because the japanese and mongolian gear is largely influenced by old...
had the issue again today.. short term solution, if you hit the problem, clear your history and cookies. that resolved it for me.
How dare you?... :-)))))))))))))))))))))))) That Leviathan-modification ist great... we need STLs from them... so we can make our own modifications like yours... I like the paint-job ...
@JTam well, landsknecht ogres aren't very "classic fantasy" either, but WGA is making them there anyways.
Swordsmen added to the shelf.
Today is my friend's birthday bbq... but I still managed to get some work done. Finally finished my swordsmen. These guys are my elites. All in the heavier armor. Their training was extensive (my j...
Just finished my comprehensive review of the new Aztec Warriors kit featuring scale comparisons, an overview of the warrior classes, plenty of pictures of the sprues & assembled miniatures alon...
@Blutze "Not sure how magnets are supposed to test steel for being stainless" - stainless steel is not always magnetic. https://www.thyssenkrupp-materials.co.uk/is-stainless-steel-magn...
Just lovely to read about your first forays into this great hobby. Keep posting and keep us updated!
I go back and forth alot on which scale I like better, and to be honest some of my favorite minis are kit bashes of two or 3 manfactureers.
I didn't expect professional quality of myself by this point - but what I didn't expect was how much fun I had! It really felt like I was giving these minis life. This, pretty much. Its like Dar...
"Male" european breastplates from ~1350 when they started to be actual singlepiece plates (though still textile covered mostly), to ~1550 when the globe shifted downwards for some reason, would hav...
@H M Hmmm, to be honest I would just have WA stick with thier history scale for fantasy adventurer/average sized humaniod types, lots of great options in that scale already that work great with fan...
Sorry, guys.I have no idea why pictures stop showing up, after a while.Probably something related to shifting server and facebook.I don't even remember what I originally posted.I'll try to fix some...
Alright, for what it matters, I'll throw my two coppers...I loved the idea of upgrade kits.I think I bought a bunch - and, aside note, I'm liking the new plastic - more bendable and kitbashable tha...
@Blutze @lauregami Hmm you both actually bring up a point that I have been somewhat waiting to discuss. I well answer the easy thing first, unarmored female landsknechts if real would probably d...
While I did not take to The Silver Bayonet as much as I had hoped, the game is proving to be more popular than I expected. A marketable gap in that line up might be Bandits/Guerillas... Spanish or...
@William RedfordAt last I managed to pay a visit to the forum.I thought my army was big, but your units are great!I see we've been following a similar path, with conversions.I tested how Conqueror ...
By sheer chance, a pal of mine provided me with a 3D printed, flexible resin, female Landsknecht - as a printing test.I'm definitely for a female Landsknechts kit.Even though their historicity migh...
I originally voted that I'd buy a box, but the more I visit this topic, the more I'm tempted to want to field an army of female Landsknechts for something like Pike and Shotte. The pictures in the ...
@Blutze I totally get that - I'm most comfortable at my own computer desk, and I'd work there if I had the room. But most of my desk is taken up by my work phone, work computer, and our modem. The...
@Padric Drahushuk you could certainly mix in Goth figures and/or swap parts with Roman sets to make Limitanei
@Steven StGeorges I'm using Goths for Rohan myself. Late Romans for Gondor.
I just so happen to be working on such a thing - a 1:35th Renault FT somewhat modified to go alongside my Les Grognards.
A 1:35th scale Renault FT modified and part-built as a proxy Leman Russ.
It looks like the bottom barrel is fixed to the cylinder beneath it, which turns upwards at the tip, and there seems to be a cylindrical protrusion from the bottom. I think it looks like a flamethr...
I'm always looking for ways to make things cheaply & generate less trash! (Especially since I'm in an area where it is hard to recycle some things). I'm 100% going to use these tips, thanks for...
Howdy! My name is Philip, I got into the hobby 12 years ago when I found a copy of white dwarf in a middle school classroom, from there I got into 40k, and d&d. Shortly after starting d&d ...
@Eric Howanietz Umm, no kobolds are not just a D&D thing, but they are mostly a TTRPG thing for the most part as I am pretty sure they show up in Hackmaster, Pathfinder, GURPS, etc. They are on...
@JTam I disagree with your statement about Wargames Atlantic's World War One range. Both the French and German sets are late war, not early war. The boxes they come in are dated, 1916...
@Eric Howanietz there is already a therad here: Kobolds I would be happy for people to get some WA kobolds.
@Ben Zed GW makes and will still make insanely huge profits thanks to her leading position on the miniature market. Other manufacturers have to raise their markup up in order to survive and ...
