Today's article mentioned Firelock. Is Wargames Atlantic the ones doing the pirate sloop and crew for that kickstarter? The Sprues certainly look like WA... what section would be the place to talk about these?

Arrr, be there pirates in the works? That certainly looks like the same table the Goths preview was photographed on, and if so, that's awesome - I can hardly wait! The ship alone is bound to be a big winner for fantasy and historical gamers alike!
Seriously, it almost certainly is a Wargames Atlantic product. Compare the table in WA's Goth preview.... Looks amazing!
So thats 7 new WA sets then. Assuming all from that kickstarter are being made by WA.
1) the Sloop
2) the sailors
3) the soldiers
4) the cavalry
5) the militia
6) the natives
7) pirates of legend
I am getting all of these except the natives and the cavalry through the kickstarter.
I wonder, is the Kickstarter still running? My budget is objecting, but I might want to check that out - they all sound useful to me, except possibly the cavalry.
@Yronimos Whateley the kickstarter is over. The pledge manager is still open though so they may still be allowing late backers.
Thank you! Good to know. Looks like it was a great Kickstarter!
@Yronimos Whateley I enjoyed it. The core box is a great value. You get a rule book, a play mat, 2 ships and 2 sets of sailors for like $120. I bought it just for some cool minis, but now plan to split the box with a friend and actually play.
I added 2 sets of militia, 2 sets of soldiers and the pirates of legends box. I also added another ship... cuz... why not. I am planning to do a dutch themed warband... (or whatever they call the bands).
An assembled ship was posted in the KS update today. Again I believe this is a Waegames Atlantic kit, though it has not been cpnfirmed yet. It looks really good.
Firelock posted an update... They are still in track for Aug-November... They showed a sprue shot of their Militia set. These are rumored to be made by Wargames Atlantic, but no confirmation still on that.
@William Redford hmm, parts to make them up for either 17th or 18th, not bad.
@Brian Van De Walker Yeah. I am not sure how they scale yet, but they look good. The negatives are you only get 12 to a box and of course the delay... They keep saying "we are still on track for November" like that date is not already a year late... but I am still excited...
@William Redford
Great shots of the "Militia" sprues.
I do notice that the sprues from the Gray For Now / Wargames Atlantic collaboration "02 Hundred Hours" sprues have "Wargames Atlantic" engraved on them.

Also, the sprues from the Reptilian Overlord / Wargames Atlantic collaboration "Spacenam" sprues have "Wargames Atlantic" engraved on them.

The Firelock "Militia" sprues appear to be unmarked in that regard. Not conclusive, but a data point.
@JTam Yeah. The Sprue here says Firelock LLC 2020. Wargames Atlantic did say they had worked with Firelock. So not sure...
@Grumpy Gnome
You have to make an account to look at the link?
As a point, what gets printed on the sprues regarding copyright depends a great deal as to how they're going to be marketed. A lot of the Renedra customers have their own company on the sprues but only some have Renedra. In the case of Grey For Now, the arrangement was for both companies to separately retail the sprues, If WGA did do the sprues for Firelock but the deal was that only Firelock would be selling them, it doesn't surprise me that only Firelock gets mentioned.
There's also a difference between "Copyright Wargames Atlantic" and "Made by Wargames Atlantic". The Perry sprues have "Made in England by RENEDRA Ltd" and "Copyright Perry Miniatures".
