@Drangir I hear many people say heroic "easier to convert and paint", but from personal experiences over the years, I feel these folks are either lying to themselves or mistaking "subject matter" w...

one tractor a box is the indications i've gotten from when it's discussed by the people in the know. we haven't had specifics yet though, nor prices. and update from the release schedule p...
Does anyone know yet what we get in each box? Is it going to be one or two tractors etc to a box? I am looking forwards to them though especially to see what the weapons options are like and how e...
Yup! I dig the scale on the one hand, but heroic (even if it's bit less intense for WA) is often easier to convert and paint. The new Age of Reason seem to be leaning on the WA heroic, but I...
@Drangir that is becuase the Eisenkern are also in "historical scale" as opposed to heroic scale all the Death Field sets are in. Also in this case I am looking at making a isekaipulp f...
@Mithril2098 Actually given the number of sprues it had plus overall quality of the kit and compared to GW's offerings and even some of the 1/48 Bandai mecha kits of the same size, the Leviathians ...
Just got in The Barons’ War miniatures from Wargames Atlantic, and I couldn’t be more impressed. These 28mm models are beautifully detailed and hit that sweet spot between historical ac...
Hi all! I'm new to 10mm minis, so this is maybe a dumb question, but I'm currently having a really hard time getting the orcs to rank up correctly in lines of six on the bases. The strip of five ma...
I'll agree with @Paul Mitting . I've handled some of the Stargrave Automaton sprues - the bits are going to be more or less compatible with Death Fields kits, and are similar in spi...
Nothing wrong with scratch-building that sort of stuff - I do it all the time - and I could even recommend some 1/48 kits that were probably aimed at WWII modelers that supply a great variety of to...
@Mithril2098 You're probably right to be honest. Bigger vehicles tend to be over-priced cash wise, and either ridiculously strong or likewisely weak in game.
To be honest, as neat as the Leviathan walkers looked? I think that a better choice would be to take the look and make something smaller, more like GWs Armiger or large Dreadnaught models in size. ...
I also would like to see peasants and monks
I hope the medieval grand scale battle figures take off. I would love to see them expand into the Wars of the Roses and maybe ancients.
@Drangir Yeah, I love Shadowkesh. The fluff, the design, they're all so darn cool. I'm tempted to get a box of the upcoming Warriors and paint 'em purple. I could call them a group which got sepera...
I've seen some old models and feral version of them (it's bit weird idea, but ok, why not?), and damn - it beats most xenos designs from General Worldbuilder easily. Like with Eisenkern, they're ki...
Valkir is Eisenkern elites, from the fluff I've got that Sokesh and Eisenkern are the main focus. Former being some kind of high tech beings treating humans as inconvinience and Eisenker trying to ...
@Drangir I have no clue, I've only just discovered the universe. It's mentioned in the fluff as the thing which inspired/motivated the Leviathan, so could be cool as Eisenkarn and Valkir Shadowkesh...
Yeah, Eisenkern APC was a different story. From old reviews it feels like some A+ replica of existing vehicle with incredible amount of detail. I wouldn't mind something simpler, but yeah. Do ...
I feel like they may be a bit big, especially since WGA is only starting to dip their toes into vehicles with The Damned / Quar Tractors, but Hudson only knows. Me personally, I'd love to see...
I have French WW1 and their bodies are significantly more up to real proportions, especially weapons. I think Eisenkern troops fit them quite well. Maybe it's because Grognards are notoriously bigg...
I can't find it, but I saw subtle foreshadowing on WA/Legion Facebook. And personally, after researching Iron-Core I deeply miss this vehicle...
Howdy guys, now that we have troopers how about vehicles, and even more spectacular Leviathans. They used to make the best titan on the market, way better than the GW titans, and actually big...
Hmm, well that has been suggested a few times, but....😆 So what is wrong with the stowage options already out there, I mean you can go on to ebay right now and get stowage for everything fro...
@Drangir Hmm, they look like they could maybe, frankly I have been thinking about using the the guard along with WW1 bits to make some armored infantry types for game I have been working on.
I'm wondering how Persian Bows would look with the tunics these guys are wearing. I've got a lot left over that I can use on a least a few of the bodies!
First and foremost I have a fantasy army which I use for a few different rulesets that these boys will fit into. I already have a lot of the late Romans in this force as heavy infantry and some of ...
looks liek the Chyweethl will be easy enough to magentize. and honestly, an HMG/Gatling weapons swap makes a lot of sense for it. it's already bordering on being a tankette, and giving it an anti-i...
@Mithril2098 And on the discord! Interested to see how they do weapon options.
so looks like the tractors are coming very soon, these just got posted to the two main Quar facebook groups:
so new release tracker page isntead of it being in the weekly email. https://wargamesatlantic.com/pages/release-schedule COFTYRAN CHYWEETHL TRACTOR - UK InjectionCRUSADER AILTHEAN TRACTOR - UK ...
@Drangir yeah, that is what I tried, didn't seem to line up right.
In anticipation of the soon-to-be-released Dark Ages Army Builder box (48 figures), I'm curious what armies/factions you plan to build? I've been wanting to do a Franks warband for some time...
kind curious myself. between turnip28, Sludge, and the like there are plenty of gmaes where mixing the more medieval with the age of musket would be useful. myself i've wondered about using such fi...
Hey I'm considering building some characters from high fantasy universe and Minutemen bodies would be perfect as a base. They have the same sculptor as Guards and Villagers. Are they compatible? G...
@Michael Downs always plastic glue! It fuses the parts instead of just sticking them together. Way stronger and more flexible to use. Have fun!
I'm working on the Giant Spiders. I'm using Tamiya plastic cement to assemble the pieces of the model. I don't have a lot of experience with plastic cement, I usually use super glue. Will the plast...
@Andrew Stoeckle I'd wager GL1 and GL3
from the early surprise update.. no Quar but fans of napoleonic era or Sharpes rifles will be happy. from the queue section though there was a bit of a sruprise.. Fidwog command coming our way. Pa...
Trying to assemble valkir. What right arm goes with the flamethrower?
@Duncan Sargent it's been on the schedule of products in the weekly emails for over a month. it's still a while off but should be out before the end of the year.. probably before winter starts.
Is that definite, they are certainly getting their own box? Well I guess it makes it a lot easier to make riders from various Quar Nations and you just need to pick up a box to mount them on. Maybe...
@Duncan Sargent they almost have to be since the cadier's are getting their own seperate box, the way the horses did for the historicals.
I hope the Quar and the mount are separate sowe could make baggage carrying g ones or artillery pulling ones or any other number of weird ideas.
As Mithril said, I think it would be rather difficult to make one kit that services everyone's wants, plus I'm dubious of the breadth of the appeal. Definitely something worth considering for AD, I...
i'm not sure you could do as wide a range of timeframes as your post suggests, the appearance of packs, bottles, and so on change a lot over time. but with vehicle kits coming for Deathfields and Q...
Just wondering if perhaps WA could produce a kit with generic packs, pouches, bottles, grenades, etc as well as stowage for various vehicles. It could have stowage generic enough to be from medieva...
Oh yeah, totally, and it seems like eveything is just chugging along on track.
they've got a lot of non-Quar kits in the queue, and most of the quar stuff isn't slated to hit mold testing till later this summer, so not surprised we've not seen much new.
This week looks like they've added Fidwog command in the layout stage but otherwise no changes.
