@William Redford That dude was so big when he shouldered his way through friendly troops that I thought they CGI'd him. Nope, he's just short of 7 feet.

That Thessolonian you are fighting, he's the biggest man I have ever seen. I wouldnt want to fight him... And that's why no one will remember your name...
The face that launched a dozen kits.
Howdy, I'm a late millennial gamer from Minnesota. My primary wargaming experience for the last twenty years has been with Battletech and Battletroops, but my wife has exposed me to a much broader ...
Or (and I prefer this) we can fully embrace the mythology. (Or make add on/optional rules for adding mythology to the "historic" game.) Gods may briefly appear on the battlefield. (Ath...
Or maybe something like "Of Gods and Mortals"? Not necessarily having the gods in the game. But treating the top tier heroes (Diomedes, Hector, Achilles, etc.) as just short of. (Like a...
A supporting rule set could be amazing. Maybe a little something like 4th edition Warhammer Fantasy Battles. Rank and flank units clash, but heroes can have a massive effect.&nbs...
The afore mentioned hoop armor with boar tusk helmet: A figure eight shield:
One set could represent the lightly armed skirmishers and bowmen. Another set could represent rankers. Yet another set could build heroes. (Ajax) (Agamemnon) Need similar set(s) for th...
What-plastic-ancients-miniatures-we-need? How about a line of miniatures set during the Trojan War 12/13th century BC. The Illiad is a transcendent work. Who cannot be excited about this e...
Howdy, I'm new here and pretty exciyted about the possibility of a game developing around one or more of these lines, so I thought I'd add some feedback. I come from the skirmisher side of wargami...
Found one more picture floating around the web in relation to the 02 Hundred Hours game: He might be from the plastic set or he might not be. I believe Gray For Now Games is also doing som...
@JTam Its also possible they mistook a Universal Carrier for a allied version of the borgward. Anything is really possible with the fog of war tho.
@William Redford Boom! Thank You.
Picture of the WGA plastics - both sets! Well there's a dog(s) so the set's success is assured.
These were posted on Dakka as screen captures from a video that was posted.
Good run down on these new options. Thanks! I would infer the best way to make 28mm Picts or Welsh would be to lay hands on the new Gripping Beast heads and bash them onto the WGA Irish......
@Anton Ryzbak I can't believe you modeled the firing step as well. Amazing. The tutorial is really useful. I never would have thought of matte-board for the floor boards....
I wish there were more pictures of the Valkyries....
So the "Michael's" diorama section is weak sauce. (Far inferior to Hobby Lobby). The modeling section is really small too. I did find this nostalgia gem though:
@Anton Ryzbak Fantastic! Great tutorials. Thank You.
In case you might have missed it, Gripping Beast has now released 2 more boxes of 28mm plastic dark ages figures: Welsh and Picts. Before anyone gets too excited, be advised that the spues are iden...
More educational kits at Hobby Lobby:
@JTam Sorry, no pictures of games (I'm always too busy gamemastering to get any) but you can find a step-by-step of the process of building the terrain on my blog under the heading Adventures in B...

Additional Cossack uniform information from the Russo-Japanese War:
@Grumpy Gnome You hit the nail on the head. The beauty of a plastic trench kit is you glue a few big pieces together. Paint it two colors. Sprinkle a little earth or chalk ...
@Frank Reischmann Awesome terrain! Like the weathering. Pretending you could ever break free from work, what games do you play on it? The Battletech diorama is awesome too.
Great work@Frank Reischmann! Folks can do great things with Hirst Arts or even just carving up foam... but it takes time. I certainly recall the days of making terrain out of soup cans and grab ta...
Hi JTam, no trenches, sorry... but poor pictures of my SpaceHulk... today it has more colors, but I have no pictures jet... And I have created a few dioramas for...
Created an account to vote for 16th century Ottomans. I'd order an army's worth in a heartbeat. I think the Conquistadors are already a decent approximation for Knights of Malta or other Mediterra...
Came out last month I believe?
@Grumpy Gnome Yeah, but those are also very limited artistic themes for fantasy Barbarians since most of the world isn't fjord land and most fictional barbarians don’t even wear chainmail. E...
I wrote a few paragraphs here in support of a suggestion for all female Soviets in Space!!!!!!: https://wargamesatlantic.com/community/xenforum/topic/44330/comparison-shot-and-sneak-peek-all-in-on...
@BS Kitbasher Thanks for this! Picked up "Rome and Her Enemies." "Rome and Her Enemies" edited by Jane Penrose covers (surprisingly) Roman armies and their enemies across...
@Frank Reischmann Very cool. That's a good option. Thank You! Any pics of your trenches or space hulk?
Hi... you can use silicon molds from HirstArts zu create a big trench battlefield: https://hirstarts.com/sandbag/sandbag.html You can use it more than 1000 times (I used a brick-mold) and I have ...

Warlord Games already makes a pretty nice if pricey set of 28mm livestock. It includes pretty much everything except "standing horses." They also have a very useful set of dead livestock. ...
@Anton Ryzbak Fantastic work. That is an awesome looking board that would be amazing to play on. Do you have any pictures of games being played on/miniatures on the table? ...
I scratchbuilt the entire thing and having sections that I could just attached to the insulation board would have speeded things up a lot
maybe just the inner face and sandbagged top edge of the trench designed to fit a single layer of EPS insulation
Not just horses, other livestock too! Cows, pigs, sheep, goats. They would definitely have loads of uses and they are pretty darned generic.
Snapped a picture of some inspiration at the local zoo:
@Cole Lassell REF: While fratricide was no doubt happening on both sides, the incident I was referring was more benign. German troops discovered an abandoned remote vehicle and assu...
@Yronimos Whateley Super excited to see what you can come up with of you find the time to experiment.
