I think your scuta are a little too big compared to the celtic oval. The section with the kitty heads and a few other places have some leftover space too. Psure you could fit a sixth body on there,...

Mocked up a sprue for my own amusement. One Irish sized sprue would easily allow one to build: Thracian, Hoplomachus, Myramillo, Secutor, Retiarius, Laquearius, Dimachaerus, Scissor, Provocator, ...
GCPS with the marine helmet are pretty good mid tech marines, I've been combining some of the bodies with cannon fodder heads and arms for militia types.
There was Wargames Atlantic's teased US sci-fi light infantry..... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2836687949983757&set=pb.100009277404708.-2207520000..&type=3 Its been a while th...
Feeling pretty good about the Vivandiere guess now. Sneak Peak for 29 APR 22: The Thompson is interesting. Could be WW2 British, early war Americans, or a score of other troop types. ...
The background for both the Necrons and the Tyranids were at their peak before 5th edition.
@Steven StGeorges The first one. The building of an entire banner from scratch was cool. The second was informative as well. But I think I've mastered paper banners.
@William Redford yikes I just took a closer look at that frame. Man whoever is designing these for them doesn't understand making figures for injection molding!
the more snazzy hats (or heads with different snazzy hats) you put on the sprue the more tempting it is
@John Wilson I'm thinking along the lines of one of our 1/2 sprues - or maybe one the size of the Prussians that has all bits for making 1-3 character figures.
@Hudson Adams I'd prefer something like the Frostgrave magicians sprue, still a useful number of bodies, but a shed load of heads, arms and customation bits. However a small sprue with one body and...
I, too, have spent a lot of time attempting to want to buy Medge character sprues. I keep failing.
If the character is very much like the run of the mill figures in the troop box i'd likely not be interested, with just minor changes in clothes/headgear or uniform but if the character is differe...
I understand the desire to have big frames with loads of options to make a bunch of figures - it is after all what we do now. I'm more interested in blisters with one or three figures on a small fr...
A sprue with only one character? If there are enough extra bits, I would buy it like an upgrade sprue that happens to contain an extra body. However, I would prefer something more like ...
@JTam Always a pleasure my dear JT.. but which one since I posted a couple? 😁
How much interest is there out there for character figures on the sprue do you think? We've been talking about a range like this with the Classic Fantasy types and/or possibly a sprue that lets you...
Yes, great box... I've got 2 more...
I agree... 😇... as a big fan of Marks work... I hope, he goes any further in future...
Oh... really to heavy... I wouldn't have thought now... Valkyrs - I think so... but not the troopers. I consider them as well-protected soldiers... Know you the movies "Jin-Ro" and "Illang - the ...
Thanks for the poll! One of my votes was for the Renaissance Range. That's me looking for troop types that can pull double duty in Warhammer (Conquistadors, Landsknechts, Winged Lancers, Rei...

Any one reading our recent posts on bringing back the lore for Iron Core don`t be in any way put off in buying Iron Core miniatures. When the originals came out I fell in love with them and n...
@Frank Reischmann eisenkern seem a little heavy for that. I have both eisenkern and raumjaegers that I plan on using for a skirmish game idea I am working on. I really like the look of both sets.
I agree, Andrew Stoeckle, not more w40k-marines... I think the IronCore-Troopers with other Heads and/or weapons are perfect marines...
While I wouldn't complain if WA did a box, since more space marines (not 40k) are always good, you could look at Mantic's GCPS. I think the aesthetic is decently close.
@Grumpy Gnome OF COURSE THERE IS!!!
@Macho Mandalf Great link/article. Thank You.
Games Workshop basically price based on the *points* a miniature costs in their games. Metal, plastic or resin doesn't affect that. And remember that they have owned their own CGI-sculpted-through-...
@Steven StGeorges Good video. Just saved that to Favorites.
There's plenty of this guy and his banner bits floating around right now. Is it a LOTRs style banner? I don't know. I think it looks cool. If I ended up with th...
Pretty easy scratch build. Bamboo skewers are great for banners and general pole work. If you want one that's knarled and twisted, find a suitable twig. Pretty much any garden or park will provide....
I know there are already lots of boxes that kind of represent guardsmen from WH and anything similar BUT, nothing is close enough to Halo CE marines. It's pure nostalgia but I've been searching lon...
@Robert Mastrud OR ... you could buy the LOTR Orc Banner bearer directly from Noble Knight.. HERE 25$US + shipping .. fair price to my mind.
Well, thats one way to do it. For a flag guy, I would just use an extra Warlord Ashigura command flag (from the spear box) and a warlord orc which mixes in pretty well with the WA goblians. O...
@Robert Mastrud I think someone is planning to turn them into Rohan horsemen ... 😁
@Steven StGeorges Thank you so much! The Great Eye will reside on a banner of your method of construction.
Four male bodies (no greaves, two greaves, two with one greave) and a lion/tiger, no attached arms looks like the best option to me. Unlike a lot of kits you do not need to allow for carried equipm...
@Robert Mastrud Easy way, just assemble a lancer thanks to the Goblin Warband box, remove the lance and replace it with thin metal rods (that vid could be useful) to achieve that result: Le...
Blood Bowl coaches can use spare shoulder pads, too. I have often ordered loose shoulder pad bitz in order to make some of my teams up. (The Kroot ones are pretty useful, for what it's worth).
@William Redford I'm a Wargames Atlantic maximalist (mostly that is). I'm just using WA to make my Freeguild stuff.
There better be! ;-)
Are there any plans on doing late Roman Cavalry?
I am wondering what everyone has done for their goblin commands. Do any if you guys have advice for making a Goblin Banner? I am planning on making a mordor orc force and am struggling to find orcs...
@Grumpy Gnome .. and both were around since RT, unemployed but present. Mmm I think I do never read a battle report of Tyranids vs Necrons by the way... And I am wondering if Tyranids...
