@Brian Van De Walker because ancient style games require a boatload of miniatures
Kit affected: German Trench Raiders Part(s) affected: Presumably Head08, Head09, Head10, Head11 Scope of issue: Ten heads depicted in the parts picture, only seven heads included in the files - b...
Glad I can help a little. There is one correction to make: I mis-remembered the Accessory Sprue heads as a flat-fit like the historical figures, but they're actually a ball-and-socket f...
@Rico M From my understanding if you are printing it out yourself, the digital stuff can be modified to fit, and if we are just talking WA's fantasy stuff, it should fit.
@Yronimos Whateley Wow, between you and Brian these are fantastic responses! I had high hopes for the Atlantic digital stuff, since they are: A. Available as small packs (no need to buy sprues that...
@Brendan Flynn I asked for a supported game, Warmaster died with WFB and it has not been revived given its on WayBack machine for free and I get the sinking feeling the history version was mo...
@Yronimos Whateley Also there actually are some big arsenal differences in both style and standard of what you can and should add to a monster hunter kit from a normal soldier arsenal which I...
Warmaster I would suggest. There are several sources for the requested army. Eureka miniatures 10mm lizardmen are excellent miniatures nut it would be nice to supplement these troops wi...
@Charles Tottington Yeah they did have them, enough so you can use history sets like like the ones by Perry's for the War of the Roses or WA's upcoming heavy armored conquestdor cavalry set. That s...
@Rico M Hmm, the older Fireforge knight/sarjent heads should work okay visually than if they seem bigger than WA's (I have actually placed those bad boys on armored Warlord Celts which quite a bit ...
@Charles Tottington well you can always change/proxy a gun for another gun, which isn't a bad idea with the space marine minis when using them for other games besides the fact that bolters are prob...
Here is a quick example of what a simple upgrade sprue can do for the recently previewed Infantry kits for example Helm capes swords etc.
@Jim Heath depends on how they sell them, if its a whole box of just that character sprue your right, if its one figure on a main sprue with stuff you need hundereds of, its a minor issue at most s...
@Steffen Seitter Thats early enough if they do Wokou Pirates, but just samurai it make only limited sense.
@Paul Evans ... That sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen😆, though I suppose that could be doable, but why not 28mm ones though? what supported rules would you play with them with?
@Lord Marcus That is a fair assumption, though as Hudson said it may also be leftover soap from his first wash and I personally don't normally wash my plastic minis before assembling and have had n...
@Hudson Adams Hmm, I might do that, is there an estimateon when that is?
I was going to suggest War Fans for the Command Sprue, but I see they've already done those. In terms of other sprues, Mounted Samurai with Bows would be a nice addition. Maybe some kind of "Merc...
@Jim Heath yep!
@Hudson Adams Will there be a chance for folks who have pre-ordered the cavalry set before it was split into two to alter their order to include the second set?
I'm against historical individuals as that would lead to a fair amount of waste plastic on the frame after painting up the first Oda Nobunaga and so forth.
@Tom Kennish Yeah, and there are rules for super humans in the core rules of the skirmish game. My issue had been searching for power armor and weapons that match a space marine's arsenal.
@Yronimos Whateley I never realized that guns were around in medieval warfare that early! So knights with hand cannons and arquebuses would totally work.
Can someone please tell me just what these usy are suppsoed to be wearint? It is not P37 gear. The Braces are way too wide, and there is that odd horizontal chest piece that I've never seen. ...
@Harold Duffey If the parts were still slick, I'd assume you didn't wash them thoroughly enough to get all the dawn off.
I picked a point where the rider would naturally sit if not on a saddle, and used a drop of testors glue. I held the rider to the horse until the glue had partially set, then stood the figure again...
Once we're done with tooling in a few weeks they'll be up for pre-order.
Just use plastic solvent and you can position and "mush" into place with the benefit of fusing the parts together.
After a few attempts to get the skeletons to attach to the horse, I used some folded-over greenstuff to make a saddle. It was the only way to get enough contact for the rider to stay on.
I started to write a couple detailed essays on "medieval" monster-hunting characters, but realized after finishing them that, honestly, there are two points to be made: I don't think we're neces...
Any idea when both sets will be available to order ?
The connection is the same that Wargames Atlantic uses for all its historical stuff - a flat connection high up on the neck near/at the base of the skull. So, pretty much any of WA's historic...
@Brian Van De Walker The head connections look to be compatible with the old Fireforge stuff, but I do anticipate scale issues. The new knights look pretty slight to my eyes (not a bad thing at all...
Aztec Lizardmen on dinosaurs. I need a big army of those
Your're right, the Manchu came to Power in 1644, while the Sengoku Period ended in 1603. Technical, the Early Green Banner forces of the Manchu are identical to late Ming Armies.
I would love to see a pack of mixed Ronin. Say fifty Ronin swordsmen, fifty Ronin Archers, 50 Ronin horse. Then to round out the pack 50 monks and 20 civilians. I am a big fan of the board g...
@Rico M What sort of head connector do they have? I have seen, own and even kitbashed the older Fireforge knights myself with tons of diffrent minatures. If its the same head connector setup ...
@Tom Kennish Sounds like its worth picking up.
@Steffen Seitter Not really, the Manchu and Sengoku era Japanese have very little to do with one another, unlike the Vietnamese, Dutch, or Ming who had a lot to do with the Japanese.
@Steffen Seitter Actually if we are still talking the late Sengoku era, they would have used Japanese made matchlocks which were better made and designed than western made matchlocks of the t...
Ah, so now I have 3 spam bot stuck in my comment alerts.
So, having just recieved my box of foot knights, I have to say I'm very impressed! Crisp mail, believeable yet dynamic poses: these are a far cry from some of the older plastics that have been arou...
Hello there, how about a Range that represents Western European Armies of the late 17th and, early 18th Century? Sets could be; Late 17th Century Infantry (in Brimed Hats, Musketeers, (un)armo...
Other nice Sets would be; Late Sengoku Period Samurai with Westernized Equipment (Cuirass, Western Muskets ect.) Ikko Ikki Siege Weapons
Some more cav unless you are doing a cav sprue
@Inquisdrknss killer katanas, basic impetus 2, impetus 2, Armati has samurai lists I think, battles in the age of war (peter pig) I am going to use sword and spear. It does not have a list for samu...
Dumb question, but I was looking for ideas on how to attach the riders to the horse from the undead cavalry pack. There doesn't seem to be anything sculpted to assist - no nubs, saddles, or a...
I would say: Unit Command (Leader, Bannerbearer, Musician) Daimyos Named Characters like Oda Nobunaga and Co Retainers and Servants Ninjas Western and Chinese Advisers Tent Walls for Comma...
Late Antiquity after Sengoku Period Japan would be neat...
Having never played a 10mm game, what rulesets are out there for this time period and army? I'd like to get an idea of how I want to base them.
